I am writing this letter to show my support for the Distinguished Gentlemen’s Club (DGC) for the NASPA Excellence Award. The purpose of DGC is to increase positive visibility of African American men by creating an environment of unity, and introducing them to the complexities of the Black male’s plight, while exposing me to opportunities and accomplishments of NPHC fraternities.
Being a past participant of this program was the best experience I had while attending Texas A&M University-College Station. Not only did it challenge me academically, it opened my mind to the multifaceted struggles and opportunities black men face daily.
