Driving down the driveway, still upset with Mr. Cassidy Louise pulled into the garage, when she heard a crash she stopped and backed up. After checking to see what she had run over, she recognized her son’s bike and assumed the smashed one belonged to his friend. “Mike, come out here.” Calling out as she rushed into the house,
Mike said standing at the top of the stairway. “What are you yelling about now?” “The boys left their bike in my space and I ran over one of them,” she said, entering the living room. Wayne and his friend were coming down the stairway. “Mom, I want you to meet my friend, Benjamin,” Wayne said.
Before Louise could say anything, Benjamin recognized her, “You’re the mean lady that killed my dog.”

“Mr. Anderson, thank you for bringing Benjamin home,” Betty said as Mike and Wayne left her home.
Wayne asked as they went down the street. “I don’t remember anything about Mom killing his dog. When did it happen?”
“I’m not sure, but apparently the dog ran into the street in front of her car,” Mike said.

“That’s why Justin wanted to borrow money, but I wouldn’t loan it to him.”
“I gave him the money. There should have been no problem. Your mother marches to the beat of a different drum. She will never forgive Mr. Cassidy for not allowing the club to fix up his run-down house. That’s the only reason I have for her conduct,” Mike said pulling into the garage.

Walking into the family room where Louise was sitting on the sofa, with a drink in her hand, staring at the TV with the sound turned off. “What are you doing?”
Looking at Mike, Louise said. “You gave Justin the money to pay for the window and the old man refused to take it.”
“So, just keep the money and be happy,” Mike said.
Boasting as she went to the bedroom, “I told the old man to stay away from Justin. He will not go near him again. I hate him!”
“I’ll never understand your mother, but we still love her,” Mike said as Justin entered the living room. “When I went back to his house, he showed me, he had already replaced the window. I still wanted to pay for it, but I never went in his house. Why is Mom
