Different from Diaz and Leon, de Las Casas uses a different approach to explaining the lives of the native peoples of the New World. Considering that he was a friar and then a Dominican, he has a bias towards religion yet he uses it properly to express the side of the natives which was not covered by Diaz or Leon. He describes the natives as simply genuine and kind people who could have been Christian but the Spanish chose wrong ways of converting.
