INTRODUCTION Accounting is concerned with collecting, analyzing, recording, and summarizing financial information. The purpose is to help people who used this information to make more informed and good decisions. One of the mistakes that many people have thought about accounting is that you have to be very strong in math. We tend to think that it is more about logic and analytical reasoning. You need to learn a lot of rules and make something fits the rules. It is considered a difficult major. Everyone has heard that accounting is all about numbers or being good in math to take accounting. Unfortunately, for many people, just mentioning the word "math" can turned off their interest in accounting and can bring back childhood memories of them having difficulties with long division and fractions or geometry homework, and later avoiding math...

CAINGLET A research paper submitted to the New Era University research center Hanz Lumba Christine Keith Tercias Radnan Oneza Herminia Salamat Donna Valenzuela Shaira Martinez Marko Capili March 2013 IV-LEVI I. Background of the Study Students all over the world face a number of problems which dishearten them. There are so many issues they have to deal with- study, time, money, relationships, job hopes, and more. Parent’s previous experience and education does not always equip them in dealing with such pressures. Many students will not admit their problems due to various reasons and this may eventually hamper a student’s psyche. In Metro Manila, the most common problem a student encounter is their difficulty with certain academic subjects. Nowadays, most schools have five major subjects- Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, English, and Filipino. Although different opinions are made regarding these subjects, it is evident that certain factors affect the level of difficulty of the said subjects. One is the teaching method of the teachers. It is possible that the techniques, including the materials such as the visual aids or presentations used by the teachers, are not effective. Second is the student’s own knowledge and capability. Some are gifted with critical thinking and good analysis which make them perfect for subjects’ Math and Science; while others...

...Raveena Bhogal 68533 0011 Justify ways of overcoming difficulties that may arise when implementing anti-discriminatory practices in health and social care settings. Anti-discrimination is promoted when dealing with conflict as it stops individuals from discriminating against others. Dealing with conflict correctly is needed in health and social care settings to promote anti-discriminatory behaviour as aggression and tension can build up between the service users or staff. It is important for a health and social care professional to be trained to deal with conflict correctly so that the service users don’t become stressed or feel unvalued. If the conflict is dealt with professionally and positively then discrimination will not take place, therefore this promotes anti-discrimination by ensuring that no individuals feel discriminated against. All of the service users or staff members are treated equally, they are treated the way they want and need to be. On the other hand, difficulties may arise if the conflict is not dealt with in the correct manner. If a member of staff was to treat one service user better than another, then this will cause a larger conflict and will make the situation become very negative. For example, if a two service users wanted to watch two different TV programs that were showing at the same time then a member of staff should be trained to deal with this type of situation. The professional should treat the service users equally; they should say to the...

...Language Areas Difficulty of the College of Education Students of the University of San Jose-Recoletos: A Basis for Remedial Instruction _____________________________________ A Thesis Presented to the Faculty of the College of Education University of San Jose-Recoletos _________________________ In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements For the Degree of Bachelor in Secondary Education Major in English By: Albino, Rey Jee Dagunan, Maeflo Fariolen, Amilou Ace Saga, Alyanna Mae S.Y. 2014-2015 CHAPTER 1 THE PROBLEM AND ITS SCOPE Rationale It is unquestionably that language plays a very important part in people’s learning process and of course, it can depict the line between excellence and mediocrity. Indeed, mastery of the field is needed and must be developed. Language, as a general thought has numerous definitions due to the fact that people would likely see things from various viewpoints. However, majority of the characterizations of language appears to be analogous with one another. Among the definitions, language is primarily a mental faculty that allows humans to undertake linguistic behavior: to learn languages and to produce and understand utterances (Haser and Fitch 2003). Furthermore, language is seen as a formal system of signs governed by grammatical rules of combination to communicate meaning (Trask, 2007). This definition stresses that human languages can be described as closed structural systems consisting of rules that relate particular signs to particular...

...„Describe two ways in which teamwork can be beneficial to organisations and two reasons why it can be difficult for individuals to work in teams”. Teamwork is one of the major factors that affect an organisation’s success and it can prove to be beneficial but it can also become a difficult aspect to manage within a company. According to Cohen and Bailey (1977:241), „a team is a collection of individuals who are interdependent in their tasks, who share responsibility for outcomes, who see themselves and who are seen by others as an intact social entity embedded in one or more larger social systems..”. The previous definition is pointing out the aspects of teamwork, which appear to be mutual reliance, interdependence and sense of responsibility that members feel when collaborating. Based on the previous theory, numerous benefits of teamwork can be underlined. One of the most important advantages that teamwork brings within an organisation is efficiency. According to Procter and Mueller (2000), it has been debated by supporters that it offers a more productive, creative, satisfying and empowering way of working. The efficiency of teamwork can also be highlighted from the book „Organizational Behaviour” by Daniel King and Scott Lawley, OUP 2013(page 165, Table 6.7), in which benefits like reduced dependency on particular individuals, faster decision making, increased time utilization and task requirements are considered benefits of teamwork. Another major benefit for...

...People with Dementia often confuse the generations for example, mistaking their wife for their mother or their son for their father. This may be very distressing for the family members, but this is a natural aspect of their memory loss. The person with the Dementia may be trying to interpret a world that no longer makes sense to them because their brain is now processing the information incorrectly. Sometimes the person with Dementia and those around them will misinterpret each others attempts at communication. These misunderstandings can be difficult, and may require some support. Difficulties with communication can be upsetting and disturbing for everyone. While a diagnosis of Dementia can be devastating news an explanation of what the problem is what can be done about it, can help people feel empowered and reduce some of the worry caused by the uncertainty, some people find it helpful to discuss with GP and nurses how the Dementia may affect them or their loved one in the future and there is advice available about how to stay independent and live well with Dementia. ...Problem Statement We hay bales in pairs to find equals of 80, 82, 83 ,84 ,85, 86, 87, 88, 90, and 91. Is there more than one answer to this problem. Process So far I was able to have bales like “bales 2 and 3” I was able to get 10 different kinds. Also since there are 10 different numbers two it would make sense. The different bales were 1 and 2, 1 and 3, 1 and 4, 1 and 5, 2 and 3, 2 and 4, 2 and 5, 3 and 4, 3 and 5, and for last 4 and 5. I was able to get this because at the beginning it showed the those numbers to 2 and 4. Then it said so on. I also wondered why they stopped at five in the second number. So I did keep going on and found ten groups of numbers. Which were going with the total numbers that were ten. The numbers were 80, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 90,91. In total there were ten numbers in all. Just like those groups of numbers. I haven’t found the total of the groups with the total numbers but I know they have a connection in some way. Like I talked about in the beginning. Those groups of numbers the first one the 1 didn’t go with another one. So it would do for the other ones like it showed for number 2. “2 and 3” It started with the twos not 2 and 1. I also made a little chart on my paper to see what will go with what. 82= A and C 83= A and D 84= B and C 85= A and D 86= A and E 87= C and D 88= B and E 90= C and E I didn’t get the true answer on my own. Our class worked together. Solution 39=A 41=B 43=C 44=D 47=E 1,2,3…. order 1 A+B=80 2 A+C=82 3 A+D=83 4 B+C=84...

...Suggested Practice Problems from “Introduction to Organic Chemistry, 5th Ed.” The following problems are not intended for marks, but are highly recommended as a source of practice for you in preparation for the midterms and final exam, as many of your exam questions will follow a similar format. Also, keep in mind that as you progress in the questions for each chapter, so will the level of difficulty – DON’T get frustrated if you have to try the last questions of the chapter a few times to get it. Even though the answers can be found in the corresponding solutions manual, I strongly suggest that you attempt to work through these problems prior to consulting the answer guides. In my experience, the best way to succeed at organic chemistry is to practice, practice, practice! Memorization will not work and will soon become overwhelming. Do not try to do these all at once; the best plan of attack is to set aside an hour or two each week to work on these. If you grasp the concepts of this material, it will make for much easier problem solving in this course. If you have any difficulties or the answers are not clear (the same applies to anything in this course), do not hesitate to contact me at ghallett@stfx.ca or drop by my office (PSC 3025). ...DIFFICULTIES IN LISTENING COMPREHENSION OF THIRD YEAR ENGLISH MAJOR STUDENTS Jano, Jobelle A. Major in English Abstract Language learners face difficulties when listening to the second language. Nevertheless, the types and the extent of difficulties differ. This paper attempts to investigate listening difficulties encountered by 45 third year English major students from the College of Education. Data was gathered by means of questionnaires. The study has revealed a fairly clear picture of the students’ problems and difficulties when it comes to listening comprehension that stem from a cluster of factors that characterize the lecture mode of information transmission. Understanding students’ learning difficulties enables teachers to help students develop effective learning strategies and ultimately improve their English listening abilities. Keywords Listening- listening is the ability to identify and understand what others are saying. This process involves understanding a speaker's accent or pronunciation, the speaker’s grammar and vocabulary, and comprehension of meaning. Listening comprehension- regarded as a complex, interactive process in which listeners are involved in a dynamic construction of meaning. Listeners understand the oral input from sound discrimination, prior knowledge of vocabulary, grammatical structures, stress and intonation, as well as other use linguistic, paralinguistic, or even non-linguistic clues in contextual utterance Listening problems-...

The school will support Gemma to empower her to cope with her emotions; such support enables them to see themselves as they are now highly competent. Examples of this could be, “You can do it! I believe in you”. Words of encouragement will make all the difference. * Hearing impairment will have difficulties to hear leading to noise distorted sound causing poor ill ears, this is why a hearing aid will benefit and help Gemma. The effects of this barrier to communication can cause difficulty on following what has been said. * Gemma may also be empowered through environmental barriers. This could be things such as lighting if poor quality prevents lip reading and other messages being picked up which could leave Gemma with a negative attitude, feeling isolated and left out. Also another effect caused by an environmental factor could be that if you seat Gemma too far away from the front then this could affect her quality of hearing. To prevent isolation and difficulties you can try regrouping the seating so that she will be able to hear clearly and if she is...

Later after gaining knowledge about Publisher we started to design our poster. At first we tried to make a good background for the poster and no one was satisfied with the background what came up with the publisher. We then tried to make a background which was designed by the Toshiba. Even then we faced a difficulty in making that as background. We got a background were we had Toshiba logo in the centre and bigger arrows on each side. We wanted to remove those arrows and leave the background all alone with the Toshiba’s logo. We tried to remove in publisher but we couldn’t do it without disturbing the background texture. So we came to a decision to use Photoshop to remove the arrows alone.
