...I sincerely appreciate your diligent effort on this ongoing issue. My question is, after two broken windows and now this game of “ding dong ditch” (although did not result in any property damage) what can be done to actually stop this? We are not naive in the fact we live a block from a school, and understand that kids cutting through our grass, or having wrappers, papers, etc. left on the lawn, it happens. But, how do we stop the blatant disregard for someone’s private property? We work hard to maintain our property and take pride in having a nice well maintained home and lawn, and it is incredibly stressful and frustrating coming home and having to do a walk around of the outside of our house to see what may have been broken or vandalized...

...United States Army Adjutant General School Mission Command Essay The Battle of Dong Ap Bia: Hamburger Hill LTC Weldon Honeycutt CPT Shamika Hill Adjutant General Captain Career Course 003-16 June 30, 2016 For ten long days, American and South Vietnamese Army troops fought alongside each other to gain control of Dong Ap Bia, Hill 937. Their mission was to search and destroy the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) and the Viet Chong (VC), believed to have grouped in the A Shau Valley area. The battle now known as Hamburger Hill begun May 10, 1969 and is recognized as one of the last major encounter between the Americans and the NVA. Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Weldon Honeycutt, commander of the 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment (3-187th) was determined to accomplish his assigned mission and seize Hill 937. After ten long hard fought days and many casualties from both sides, the 3-187th successfully occupied the hill on May 20. But at what cost? LTC Honeycutt improper use of the mission command principles; understanding, assessing, and visualizing; led to a prolonged engagement which cost additional casualties. Hamburger Hill occurred during Operation Apache Snow, the second part of a three-phased campaigned aimed at annihilating the NVA bases in the treacherous A Shau Valley. LTC Honeycutt and the 3-187th received the mission to search and destroy the Peoples of Vietnam Forces (PAVN) in the A Shau Valley in order to block the NAV from infiltrating the northern providence...

... Nearly fifteen months after Vedan Vietnam was detected discharging large quantities of untreated liquid waste directly into the Thi Vai river, researchers from the HCM City Institute of Environment and Natural Resources (IENR), representatives of farmers in Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces and HCM City, local officials and Vedan’s top managers met on December 7 to hear a technical assessment of damage to the river attributable to Vedan’s operations. In this meeting, closed to the press, researchers reportedly held Vedan responsible for eighty to ninety percent of the industrial pollution found in water samples. IENR’s Bui Ta Long said that water samples collected from February-April 2008 indicated that Vedan Vietnam discharged more than 100,000 cubic meters of waste water into the river every month. The area impacted by Vedan-sourced pollution extended for ten kilometers along the Thi Vai River. The river in this area was heavily polluted. The water there was black, stank and was deadly to all kinds of fish. According to newspapers, the Institute’s report states that at least 2700 hectares of aquaculture enterprises were affected by the pollution, some 2000 ‘severely,’ including over 2100 hectares in Dong Nai province and nearly 600 hectares for Ba Ria-Vung Tau. The Environment Agency intends to convene another meeting on December 11 to unify official views on the extent of Vedan’s responsibility for...

...While being informed by a Vietnamese translator that he was fighting The Pride of Ho Chi Minh, or the highly elite 29th Regiment of the North Vietnamese Army (NVA), Lieutenant Colonel Weldon Honeycutt responded by saying “Tell him I’m glad to know they’re around here. Tell him that’s why we came here- to kill North Vietnamese soldiers-and if they are around, they’ll just be doin’ us a favor78-79.” This bold statement, stated by the commander of a unit tasked to take a hill with heavily fortified enemy positions, shows that he understood his mission- plain and simple. LTC Honeycutt, commander of the 3d Battalion, 187th Infantry (the "Rakkasans"), lead his unit in accordance with the doctrinal tasks of mission command. LTC Honeycutt was responsible for the United States victory on Hamburger Hill through the operations process activities by correctly understanding the operational environment, properly directing his unit and combat power, accurately assessing the evolving situation, and properly leading his subordinates to a successful mission. A profane, outspoken, fiercely competitive man, Honeycutt was the prototype of the hard-nosed commander. Born in 1931 in the mill town Greensboro, North Carolina, Honeycutt had lied, at sixteen with only a sixth-grade education, about his age and enlisted in the army. At five feet eight, other officers thought he lacked having command presence. Because of this, he applied himself to the military life with a religious passion and quickly...

...systematic rows of two-story houses, each complete with one pool, a driveway with at least one well-groomed car costing no less than $30,000, and an extensive back porch to overlook the freshly mowed ½ acre backyard. Jason, Walker, Ben, Danny and I had set out to perform the ancient American art of Ding-Dong-Ditch. The process was simple: ring the doorbell and run away. I went first, and produced a minimal response from the victim, as a woman merely opened her front door, ostensibly recognized the harmless attack, and then returned to her television. Walker’s next attempt left the 5 of us unsatisfied. We felt too old for this, and the financially comfortable families of Yorktown grew a resistance to the unthreatening disturbance of teenagers. We returned to the Jeep, and between the 5 of us existed a noticeable combination of disappointment and relief. Disappointment among those who unapologetically enjoy inconsequential crime, and relief among those who receive only discomfort from contributing to monkey business. Jason’s impulsive proposal to get fast food was granted, and by 10:30 we were on our way to town. Ben, included in those who felt relief from abandoning the ding-dong-ditching, remained quiet in backseat. He had a recognizable detachment from the mindless discussion going on in the car. He was thinking about bigger things. We arrived at Burger King to realize that just two members of the group were interested in eating. Danny and I stayed in the car, still somewhat...

...and Southern. The Northern school includes professional and court painters, while the Southern school includes amateur and gentle man painters. (Ethnicpaintings, 2011). Artist expressed themselves by painting the natural world around them. The view of nature allowed people to seek comfort and safety. Dong Qichange was a controversial politician regarded as an outstanding Chinese landscape painter. He was born in 1555 in what is known today as Shanghai, China. In addition to being a painter he was also a calligrapher and theoretician. His most remarkable contribution to art was introducing new ways to present thoughts in painting landscape views. Thus, you have the Northern and Southern styles of art. The Northern school of art taught about obtaining truth through art, and the Southern School stressed an “intuitive understanding” (Arthistory Archive.com, 2011). ...trait is similar to Rikki Tikki, because they are both daring and brave to save their loved ones. This proves the thesis, because the thesis is love can make bravery stand out and they both compare to the thesis. Therefore, these are the evidence of why Nagaina is vicious. The author, Rudyard Kipling, uses personification in this story to help demonstrate the theme. For example, it states in paragraph 63,”Nag is dead—is dead—is dead!” sang Darzee.” This proves that the evidence is an example of personification, because it tells a bird singing, when birds don’t actually sing. This proves the theme, because it shows that Rikki Tikki killed Nag through the love of his friends. Secondly, it states in paragraph 100,”Ding-dong-tock! Nag is dead—dong! Nagaina is dead! Ding-dong-tock!” Therefore, the evidence is an example of anthropomorphism, because again there is a bird singing when they don’t talk. This proves the theme, because Rikki Tikki saved his friends, family, and the whole garden through love. Concluding, this is how the author used the personification/anthropomorphism to help indicate the theme. The theme about the story Rikki Tikki is love can make bravery stand out. The main points of Rikki Tikki is about a brave character named Rikki Tikki who goes out and fights enemies for his loving family. This lesson shows that even cowardly people can be brave through their family and friends. ...

...Combat is initiated when you encounter a creature. At the start of combat you choose which character or familiar you want to send out into battle. You will have free movement around the battlefield and you can choose which of the actions you want to take, be it Attack, Defend, or Spells. All HP is linked from the character to the familiar, so any damage incurred on Oliver will also be apparent with the familiar, and MP is shared in the same way. The main difference between a character and a familiar is that familiars have a stamina gauge so they can't be out on the battlefield forever. While not in battle though, the familiars will recover their stamina and can thus be resummoned to fight. In addition choosing your actions, you can also cancel them. Often times it is beneficial to Defend! to avoid damage but you don't need to stay in that position. Simply cancel and you are back to attacking, likewise if you are attacking and need to defend you can cancel the attack sequence and switch to defending. After progressing a little bit through the game you'll acquire a party and you can change their battle tactics. You will also be able to control the party loosely with the All-Out Attack or All-Out Defense. You can cancel your enemies attacks if you hit them enough while they are charging a Trick or if you time your attack to land just before their's does. This results in a Chance! during boss fights and is useful in producing glims. Green glims heal and blue...
