One important reason that Laura and Howieś excursion was not a learning experience is that Howie and Laura get caught by the cleaning lady when trying to stay at the hotel for free. My evidence for this is that on pg* Howie and Laura get kidnaped by the “sheriff”. This supports my claim because they are getting arrested for inappropriate acts. Of course it is possible to disagree with the view that Laura and Howieś excursion was not a learning experience and instead argue that this experience showed them a good lesson and it was a learning experience for the both of them however stronger evidence is on the other side. This is a problem because if they wanted to get into schools or get a job the people hiring will see their permanent record and won’t accept them
