Discuss the reasons why the EU was awarded the Peace Nobel Prize in 2012. Did the EU deserve the award?

In this essay we will be discussing on how the EU has come about since its first came about and the successes and failures it has had since then. Then we will be linking this to what the Nobel peace prize is and try and explain on the reasons the EU has been awarded the Nobel peace prize in 2012, and evaluate to discuss on if the EU deserved the award.
