What factors led to the disappointing performance of Hong Kong Disneyland?

Factors leading to Hong Kong Disneyland’s poor performance include: high prices for tickets and food; small park size; inconvenient location too far from primary business and residential areas, product offering, product positioning, cultural gaps, staff issues, bad press, and overcrowding led to the disappointing performance of Hong Kong Disneyland. The case study also adds “lack of unique features, insufficient appeal to adults and missing Chinese elements (Farhoomand, p. 1) as possible reasons for the park’s lackluster performance.
