Presently the United States is known as one of the most culturally diverse countries; it is because of the various cultures that are amongst us that the healthcare world needs to adapt to the different needs of its patients. Living in Laredo, Tx has put into perspective several of the disparities the healthcare field holds. The deficiency of healthcare providers has caused a variety of obstacles for people in need of medical and dental assistance. I have witnessed, first hand, how patients have to sometimes make appointments months in advance. Moreover, while waiting rooms are flooded with people, doctors are endlessly trying to balance quality care with quantity care. Need to decide whether they are going to dedicate more time to each patient
