Chapters 13&14

In both chapters 13 and 14 Zits is transformed again into a pilot. In chapter 13 the author briefly touches base back to the previous chapters that involved with Bow Boy and Sanit. To me I felt like the author did such to show Zits compassion towards people in general. At the beginning of this novel it seem as though Zits didn’t care about anyone but himself. Now we see him in a different perspective with feelings and emotion towards others. It was also apparent to me that the author was sort of mirroring Zits’s life with this new character Jimmy. For example, how his mother was happy on a plane and he felt the same way while he was flying. Also we learn about this Abbad character. At first when they first introduced the character I thought that he would just be a victim of stereotyping because of his religion. I honestly thought that he was a good guy until I actually found out what he had done in chapter 14. In chapter 14 we find out that jimmy is having an affair. Although the affair had been going on for awhile I was still confused to why his wife just all of a sudden decided to come to the airport. She had never been to the airport of all the 12 years that they were married so why did she decide to show up? I wonder if she knew that the affair was going on. I feel that Jimmy feels a lot of pain and regret because of the fact that Abbad lied and used him to kill all those people. It almost makes me think that maybe it had some correlation with why he cheated on his wife. Maybe it was his way with dealing with his sorrow and regret? I believe that again the author is mirroring Zits and he also feel the same emotions with what he’s done in his own life. In these two chapters unlike the last two, Zits has no control over this character. I thought it was unusual because in majority of the other transformations he had some kind of control but
