Identifying risks early in a project can be critical to whether a project succeeds or fails. You can gain success for your project if you deal with project risks in a proactive manner. The result will be that you minimize the impact on the project and seize the opportunity to correct potential project road blocks (B. Jutte). All project plan need to include a risk management plan that is implemented early in the project and monitored throughout the life of the project (Risk Management Guide for DoD Acquisition).
