...I believe that Donald Trump and I have the same taste of music. Obviously he loves the song “I know, you know” by The Friendly Indians. “I know you know, that I am not telling the truth, I know you know that they don’t have any proof.” He knows, we know that he isn’t telling the truth. But he got the last part wrong. We do have proof. He knows, we know that he just loves to grope women but won’t admit that what he does is wrong. He knows, we know that he didn’t lose the popular vote because of voter fraud intended to help his campaign opponent Hillary Clinton. He knows, we know that immigrants aren’t all to blame for the crime rates. He knows, we know that he isn’t telling the truth. We know, he knows he doesn’t have any proof. Gideon Resnick...

...Unprecedented is a word that often comes to mind when discussing the presidential campaign of Donald Trump. Experts, from the day he announced his bid, have been baffled by his immense popularity, rapid climb in the polls, and ability to win despite his rhetoric, regarded by many to be naïve and racially motivated. So, to gain some insight into Trump, his campaign, and how he will fair in the upcoming election, journalists, pundits and political aficionados, well learned in matters regarding the presidency, have compared and contrasted the Trump campaign to those of the past. One candidate with whom Trump is easily compared would be President Harry Truman. In 1948, Truman was running the campaign of the century against Republican challenger Thomas Dewey, who was the favorite to win. All odds were against Truman, who was down more than ten points in the polls two months out from the election, and whose party had lost the midterm elections. Truman’s party was also split, with “Dixiecrat” Strom Thurmond challenging him from the right, and Progressive Henry Wallace on the left. The media had called the election months before it actually took place. Truman, though, was not a quitter- he devised his famous...

...Elections of all types are held throughout the world every year, some big, some small. During middle school and high school annual elections are held for class president and his or her cabinet. School elections contain no real politics but school boy politics. Where often the race comes down to a popularity contest. Hopeful candidates pay for gimmicks such as stickers, baked goods, magnets, and signs to sway votes in his or her direction. Behind the scenes nasty rumors are spread regarding fellow candidates and scandals often arise. All of this for a figure head position of no power. The race for the presidency of the United States possess startling similarities to that of a popularity contest in middle school. This is evident in one presidential candidate Donald Trump. ...Donald Trump has a very romantic brand, and I do not mean this in a love and passionate way, but rather in an ideal and persuasive manner which has been proven by his lead in most of the Republican primaries and caucuses, leading to his possible GOP presidential nomination. The brand that Trump has adopted for himself has created him a lot of enemies that do not think positively of some of the promises he has made to the American people, but then there is also all the voters who have come out and supported him in the last year. Trump’s personal brand, then, has little consideration for the opposition and is primarily geared to appeal to the people that have demonstrated that they believe in what he can do for them. According to class lecture on branding, a brand can be a combination of signs, symbols, names, term, or design that identifies an individual, or a product. Last summer, when Trump announced that he was going to run for president of the United...

Apparently due to his devastating lost at time made the decision he would not run for reelection for his congressional seat, many when he was questioned whether he’ll run for the governor, would he accept Vice President if offered by Trump, and would run again for his congressional. Eventually you’ll see him finally giving reply to reporters that question and would answer with I’m not running for those elected offices, but I’m running to become the next President of the United States and won’t settle for anything other than that elected offices. Inadvertently, he would later change his tune due pressure from his fellow Republican colleagues, because they could potentially lose the open seat to Patrick Murphy thus allowing the possibility of Democrat gaining more control of the...

...DONALD TRUMP-AMERICAN BUSINESS MAGNATE Over the years, Donald Trump, Chairman and President of the Trump Organization has become a master of situating himself in the limelight with out-spoken interviews, his books, his television show, and especially his king-size lifestyle. Nonetheless behind it all this lies a very sharp businessman. Someone who is a tough negotiator, someone who knows how to build a brand and simply someone who does all this while building successful working relations with others. This starts my essay on why I admire Donald Trump. “I like thinking big. If you’re going to be thinking about anything, you might as well think big.” Donald Trump. Entrepreneur Donald Trump, through set-backs, controversies and successes, is someone who comes to my mind as a person one can admire and emulate. Donald John Trump was born in Queens, New York on June 14, 1946; the fourth of five children of Mary and Frederick Trump. Frederick (1905-1999) was himself a real-estate developer. Donald’s parent hoped a military school education would greatly benefit him, as it did Dwight Eisenhower, Ted Turner, and Douglas MacArthur to name a few and prepare him to enter the family business. Being an active and energetic child, his parents sent him to the New York Military Academy (est. 1889), located in the Cornwall-on-Hudson, at age 13. They hoped the academy’s discipline program would have an influence on him. By attending the military academy, which was a private boarding...

...Trend Article Analysis University of Phoenix – MGT373 Jennifer Choy August 21, 2011 In this day and age there are millions of trends that are present in almost every industry. In order for an organization to be successful it is essential that they follow some of these trends so that their company appeals to people. This proves to be true for the event planning and convention industries. Two articles that pinpoint a couple different trends are “Nifty gadgets taking special events to a new level” and “ The article “Nifty gadgets taking special events to a new level” is a great example of trends within the planning and convention industries. In the years 2001-2004 these industries saw a huge decline in business. The reason for this was the failing economy. Companies and organizations could no longer fit events and gatherings into the budget. In 2005 event planning companies such as Dolce parties finally started to see an incline in corporate parties and events. However, these parties and events were at a much smaller scale. It was only the important people that were being invited to these gatherings because the budgets were still not back to where they were. Since the comeback of events was at a slow pace, event planners and convention industries decided to introduce some new gadgets to attract clientele. According to Stableford ( 2005)“Beyond the typical post-event surveys and evaluation of how many sales leads actually translate into qualified...

...Republican Debate Essay The Republican Party has debates to allow the people to choose who they want to run for their party. The debate was held at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio on Thursday, August 6th at 9:00 pm. The candidates involved in the debate were Trump, Bush, Walker, Huckabee, Carson, Cruz, Rubio, Paul, Christie, and Kasich. The stage was set up putting the two major candidates (Trump and Bush) in the center to help ensue more involved debates between the two parties. Although I did not want him to particularly win the debate, I believe that Donald Trump related best to the people in the audience. Although Jeb Bush was at the head of the polls towards the beginning of the run for candidacy, Donald Trump’s sense of raw anger in our country helped him relate to the American people much easier. The first question given to all the candidates was whether or not they would back up the nominee was not them, Trump was the only candidate to say that he would not. Early in the debate Trump was asked about his crude comment on women. He stated that he didn't have time for “total political correctness”, and that the statements were only about Rosie O’Donnell. He did apologize and explained that he had always said nice things about her but he threatened to be less cordial with his responses if she were going to continue replying in such a rude manner. Although I may not agree with most of Trump’s views on immigration and basic...

...Internet Writing Assignment C There are several polls that are currently being displayed. These include social issues, current election standings, and other items including things like the economy and educational issues. One poll that I found on these sites is how favorable is Donald Trump. I learned that Republicans favor him the most and Democrats dislike him the most and independent voters are somewhere in the middle. He is about 50/50 with the voters currently and slightly more unfavorable at the last poll. When he first started he was about 90% unfavorable so he has came a long way since then. After looking at both of these sites, I found that the pollingreport.com website is what I would use for a reference. Depending on what I am searching for I may turn to Gallup polls if it is regarding a social issue or something other than politics. Polling Report I found was more useful for information regarding presidential elections. For this reason I found Polling Report to be more useful especially to people in a college level political science class and to the American public. It is important to have all this poll data online because you can see how others think and you can have a reference available at all points in time. It helps us understand where we currently stand and think as a whole as a country. Polls give us a lot of information including how the people think a president is doing. Also, they are real important around election time because it shows where each candidate...

...SUNYIT Human Resource Management MGT 318 Professor N. Laino Leadership Jeff Albright April 30, 2014 In the waning seconds of Game 6 during the 1998 NBA Finals, Michael Jordan found himself with the ball after stealing it from Karl Malone. Down by one, and with just 5.2 seconds left on the clock, Jordan rose up for a jumper that would end up being the winning points of the game. This win would earn Michael Jordan his sixth NBA championship. With every successful championship win, there is a leader who helped lead the franchise. Just as experienced leadership translates to success on the playing field, experienced leadership is essential in the business world. Leadership is defined as “the use of power and influence to direct the activities of followers toward goal achievement. That direction can affect followers’ interpretation of events, the organization of their work activities, their commitment to key goals, their relationship with other followers, and their access to cooperation and support from other work units” (McGraw 418). Often times, people who are leaders are people of power; it’s how these leaders use their power to get followers to achieve goals. Someone who is powerful is often known for their ability to influence the behavior of others. In the workforce, most leaders are managers. There are three organizational forms of power that managers can use to influence employees: legitimate power, reward power, and coercive power. Legitimate power...

...Mac Miller vs. Donald Trump Facts: In August 2011, shortly after the music video to the song reached 20 million views on YouTube, Donald Trump tweeted about Mac Millers song “Donald Trump” claiming that he would be the next Eminem and there were big things ahead of him. Mac Miller went on to send Donald Trump a plaque for the songs accomplishments after it began to do good. The song was part of his 2011 mix tape entitled Best Day Ever. The issue is still at hand with Trump recently posting a new status against Mac Miller, instead of Mac arguing with Trump he has chosen to kill the issue with kindness even posting that he does not want negative energy but rather to be friends. Mac in an interview revels that the reason behind Trumps tantrum could be due to the fact that he stated Trump was a douche in an interview with complex magazine. Issue: Mac Miller went on to get over 75 million hits with the song alone which Donald Trump noticed. Donald Trump then claimed that he needed to get paid due to the fact that Mac Miller used his name illegally and took to tweeter to further threaten Mac Miller. Some statements made by Trump include “Little @MacMiller, you illegally used my name for your song “Donald Trump” which now has over 75 million hits.”, “Little @MacMiller, I’m now going to teach you a big boy lesson about lawsuits and finance. You ungrateful dog!”, and “Little Mac Miller’s next album may bomb. He can’t use my name again for sales.” Judgment: unresolved Reasons...

...Passover vacation is definitely the most sought after vacation throughout my entire year. Although we are stuck eating matza the entire time it is an activity filled and extremely fun vacation. Every year my family goes to Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. We stay at the Trump Palace at 18101 Collins ave. First of all Passover vacation is about 16 days which is almost a week more than winter vacation. Another really significant reason I like the vacation is due to all the time I get to spend with my entire family. My brother Matan, his wife Nina and their daughter Juliette get their own apartment in the building next door. My sister maya, her husband Danny, their 2 daughters Adele and Joelle, my parents, my brother and I are the rest of the family. We stay in a relatively large apartment so it is not a big deal to fit the entire family. This year however is my sisters first year there with 2 children so things may be a bit more hectic. My seder is basically the same as everyone else's aside from two things. Moroccans sometimes have Ashkenaz traditions due to their close proximity and diffusion with Europe. The first thing is my father dipping his finger in the wine glass for all of the 10 plagues. The next and to me, most significant is “Be Bi Lo”, a song my father sings as he circles the seder platter over each person in my family's head. During the holiday days of the vacation my days are usually spent on the beach or by the pool with friends and family. My friends from nearby buildings...
