The Life of Dorothy Anne Creech
Most people would say that how a person was raised would have an effect on their success in life. An orphan at just four months old to a now 76-year-old woman, Dorothy Creech has had a not so typical upbringing. From childhood to teenage runaway, college dropout, marriage, children, and divorce, these are just some of the things that make Dorothy Anne Creech who she is.
To begin, Dorothy Anne Moat was born July 21, 1940, at Georgia Baptist hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. She was born to the parents of Clara and Reese Moat. The youngest of six children, Dorothy has 3 brothers and 2 sisters. From eldest to youngest her sibling’s names are Lawrence, Jack, Barbra, Robert, and Helen. Dorothy and her siblings were all two years apart. Lawrence, being the eldest when Dorothy was born, was ten, Jack was eight, Barbra was six, Robert was four, and Helen was two. After Dorothy retired in 2005 she spent most of her free time traveling around the states. Just some of the places she has been includes California, Washington D.C, Maine, and Texas. Her favorites to date are Washington D.C and Maine. Washington because of the history and Maine because of the beautiful scenery.
In conclusion, Dorothy Creech was born into a family of eight, only to become orphaned with her siblings at just 4 months old. Despite the circumstances, she and her siblings managed to make the most of the hand they were dealt. She got to experience college, marriage, and motherhood, things some people never get to experience. She has made some great memories so far in her life, and has many more yet to be
