Ever since I participated in this class my skills have greatly improved and have been reinforced. The drafting process for the profile and research paper assignments have taught me alot about where and how I need to improve my writing abilities. During the profile assignment I had some difficulty expanding on the information I was given during my interview and was just listing off the facts about who I interviewed. I fixed this initial rush job by slowing down and expressing her feelings and experiences in greater detail. If I had more time I might have interviewed my teacher again to get more details to add to my project specifically more on her initial experiences coming to the US. URI databases ethiert went straight to the doom and gloom or went to far and went to the brain chemistry. I was struggling to find the amount of positive resources to help support my argument against a sea of negativity. I had overcome this challenge by slightly adjusting my thesis to include the push to increase help for autistic children in schools and at home. Overall the drafting process for these two assignments helped me find where and how I need to improve as a writer from expanding on my information to finding the resources I need and knowing when to change my thesis when necessary. Participating in this class has been a boon to my writing ability in many different ways. Revising and editing has always been an issue for me and I would sometimes miss some grammar or spelling errors but this class has taught me to be more critical during the editing process.
