The trip around the moon was uneventful as it should have been; they were now floating in space equidistance between the moon and Earth. Major Wakowski, Senior Master Sergeant Smith and the other PJ’s had already prepped the drones, loaded them onto launch bay, where a specifically designed launch tube had been designed to fire the drones out into space. Once satisfied with everything, they left the launch bay, Major Wakowski returned to the weapons and security station on the bridge and reported to Lt. Colonel House that they were good to go. “We will launch two drone’s first in five, four, three, two, one. We have launch.” The two drone’s flew out of the launch bay, they took off immediately, they were self-guided and had no communication back to the ship, they were designed to learn as they engaged the ship. They had small on-board weapons of their own and hits to the ship would be scored as the type of hit, which could be catastrophic to knocking out communications to taking out certain sections of the ship. “Working on it.” The Major said. “Ok, ok I’ve got it.” “Fire, fire at will.” Major quickly fired the proton canons hitting both drones, but not taking them out. “We hit them, but they are still active. They’re firing.” Elle came alive, “We have hits on both sides of the ship, no damage.” “C’mon Major.” Lt. Colonel House stated. “Let’s take care of business.” “I have a firing solution. Firing now.” Both drone’s blew up, leaving a small debris field. Two more drone’s were automatically launched, “Mam two more drone’s have launched.” Major Wakowski reported. “Did you launch them Major?” She asked. “No mam, after the first launch they are programed to launch on their own.” “Roger.” Elle came alive again, “The drones are firing, shields are ninety-five percent.
