...A step by step checklist for publishing a brand new website through a hosting company would be the following. First checking to ensure that the site hosting company will provide the operating system that will support he site, for example if you are going to run the site on Microsoft Windows or on Linux. After determining the operating system then we need to ensure they will provide adequate space for storage and applications such as Drupal, WordPress or .net. We need to make sure that the hosting company will allow support of the applications if it will be used to help create the site. Bandwidth requirements is also another important part when looking for a web hosting company, making sure that you have adequate bandwidth will ensure that you site is not slow or down when a lot of people are visiting the website. I choose Godaddy.com as a hosting site because they allow a person to choose the operating system and select the language support needed for the site. They also will support application add-in such as WordPress and Drupal which will allow me to select an add-in that I would like to support for running the site. Another reason I selected Godaddy.com is the price and what the office for the monthly price. For a monthly price of $5.99 a month they offer 150GB of space, unlimited websites and bandwidth, 500 email accounts which will allow me to have multiple mailboxes. Godaddy.com also provides free Google, Bing, yahoo and Facebook ad credits allowing me to advertise...

...Erin Menefee Argosy University Educational Leadership | E6137 A01 Faculty: Dr. Keyes Kelly September 2, 2013 Any educational role would be idealist to me. I have always admired a higher position of leadership in education. Before identifying the educational leadership role I would most aspire to be, I first will identify what is a leader. There are many definitions of leadership. “Leadership is the art of leading others to deliberately create a result that wouldn’t have happened otherwise (McKinney June2013) As I research and studying jobs and roles, I would choose a Principal as the job I would most like to have. There are several characteristics that would make a great principal. First a principal would take responsibility for their school’s success. The success rate of the school is lead upon how much the principal pushes and lead his teachers. Next a great principals leads teaching and learning in their school. Before a principal can assume the position they first must follow a prerequisite of a teacher. A principal has an idea of what and how to teach, because a principal has taught in a classroom they are able to have compassion for teachers. Lastly, great principals build a strong school community. Principals build strong communities and also have a high parental involvement in their school (Botha) The qualification that I have that would be grateful in achieving the role of a principal would be I am very ambitious, hard worker, I work...

...Usability Assignment on Web Accessibility Wendell Robinson Capella University Web Accessibility Initiative's Accessible Rich Internet Applications (WAI-ARIA) need to be the concern of all web developer. Many people like myself can’t imagine their life without the internet it is where we get our world and local news, email, entertainment, etc. If a developer makes his website to be more accessible he ensure that people with disabilities can access his website just everyone else. The people who are visually impaired could access their content with the help of a “screen reader”. Screen reader applications read the printed text out loud, which helps blind people use computers and receive access to a text content of any kind. The blind can just open up a browser and listen to a screen-reader The physically impaired people can get the access to online content with the help of their computer using technologies that were designed to adapt the computer interface to their disabilities. People who are hard of hearing have always had the opportunity to read online content, however when it comes to video materials, they can read typed versions of important speeches or watch multimedia content with subtitles. One reason accessibility is important is that it can increase your audience. Without accessibility there is bound to be people in your audience who are not able to see, hear or simply pick up the mouse to navigate your website. This could mean loss of profit for...

...BABS1201 Essay On Peer Reviewed Article This essay will serve the purpose of examining a primary, peer reviewed research paper on a personal level. It will cover a brief description and reflection of my attempts to understand the purpose behind the article. I have chosen a research paper titled “Assessing the Plausibility Of Life on Other Worlds”. I have always been extremely intrigued by the possibility of life on other planets and humanity’s’ quest to discover our place in the universe. Previously I believed that these ideas belonged under the disciplines of Astrophysics, Space Exploration or Astronomy but was surprised to find there is a very specific discipline of science called Astrobiology in which this article falls under. Astrobiology is distinct from other space disciplines as it focuses on the actual biology and presence of life and is entirely devoted to studying the origin, distribution, evolution and future of life within our universe. The article is from the peer reviewed journal “Astrobiology” published by Mary Ann Liebert Inc. and has a global audience spanning over 170 countries since 2001. It is published in a monthly style releasing 12 issues annually and targeting an audience consisting of Microbiologists, chemists, astronomers etc. In terms of what ultimately goes into an issue, Astrobiology is under the editorial leadership of Editor-in-Chief Sherry L. Cady (PhD in Geology) who has the final responsibility for all operations and policies but also employs...
