Beside some worthy values in the long run, globalization is still a double-edged sword that every individual taking part in the play will suffer one way or another. Personally, I think the companies will definitely gain from the global business, but the workers may not be rewarded. Some Gain, Some Lose is an undeniable rule in globalization when the companies tend to hire cheap labors from developing countries to reduce the cost of products. Yet workers do not benefit from the saving cost although they deserve it for their hardships. Some companies pay more for the celebrities to advertise the products than they pay for workers, which creates the inequality in how global companies allocate wages. Another cost for globalization is the limit of National Sovereignty. As it was shown throughout history, the International Monetary Fund provided loans for countries facing economic crises, however, with very strict influences on their fiscal and monetary policies. Thus, the national sovereignty is diminished and they have less power to enact their own policies. Additionally, the large global corporations are so powerful that threaten smaller economy and infant-industry’s controls in both operating system and culture aspects. Last but not least, the factor of Corporate Accountability can be seen in reality. International companies tend to avoid taxes and some common standards since governments cannot control companies and hold them accountable. For instance, Vietnamese consumers try to boycott products from Coca-Cola since the global company has evaded the taxes for years and the government here has weakness in monitoring tax systems on foreign manufacturers. All in all, globalization attracts controversy from the critics due to some disadvantages. However, global companies are still able to reduce the criticisms by caring more about other sufferers than how many profits
