INTRODUCTION
Each study needs to specify the different problem occurs in all situations in which, researchers came up with the objectives on how the different problems provide a solution. This chapter specifies the statement of the problem, current state of technology, objectives, the scope and limitation of the study and the project rationale.

1.1 Statement of the Problem 1.1.1 General Problem
The main problem of the study is how to develop an Online E-Learning System for Evada Phone Inc. that will also provide Technology Enhanced Resource Materials (TRMs) for ESL tutors. 1.1.2 Specific Problems
Specifically, the developer aims to answer the following problems:
1.1.2.1 How will the developed system maintain the following: modules, levels, examination, teacher, student, user and class schedule? The developed system will provide a maintenance module for the following: modules, levels, examination, teacher, student, user and class schedule.
1.1.2.2 How will the developed system secure vital information from unauthorized users?
The developed system will provide a security module that ensures efficient system security with username and password maintained in a secured database.
1.1.2.3 How will the developed system automatically compute for the student’s performance?
The developed system will provide a transaction module for the automatic computation of student grades based on their performance.
1.1.2.4 How will the developed system assign teacher to students?
The developed system will provide a transaction module that will determine the availability of teachers per day/hour to assign them to students.
1.1.2.5. How will the developed system secure the availability of online examination for the students? The developed system will provide a transaction module for the online examination of students based on what they learned from their modules.
1.1.2.6 How will the developed system confer list of schedules of teachers and students per module?
The developed system will provide a report module for the list of schedules of teacher and students per module.

1.1.2.7 How will the developed system enable tracking and records the users who logged in the system?
The developed system will provide an audit trail for tracking and recording the users who have logged in the system.

1.2 Current State of Technology
Evsda Phone Inc. is an online meeting place for students and teachers from around the world, teaching English as a Second Language to students and professionals alike.
Currently, the company is using the traditional manual system in teaching: the teachers will provide the modules, scheduling is on written and verbal basis, examinations are provided by the teacher after each weekly session, the forms for assessment are used for computation of student’s performance,
The mode of transaction for module access is: from the operations manager, the books/modules are provided for each teacher per lesson. If a case like many students needs to review the same lesson again, the lack of modules is being a problem since the modules are being shared to.
The mode of transaction regarding the assigning of schedules is based on the availability of teacher, and is written on an index card that will be given to the teachers per day. Each teacher will be given a maximum of five students per session. Other than the index card schedule, the operations manager will log the schedule in a logbook for records.

1.3. Objectives 1.3.1 General Objective
The main objective of the study is to develop an Online E-Learning System for Evada Phone Inc. The objective focuses on helping ESL teachers in their teaching methods to change the mere information-delivery systems, into interactive systems that will enable to help the tutors develop further understanding about knowledge dissemination and acquisition and to help students develop further understanding about knowledge perception through the use of the system.

1.3.2. Specific Objectives
The specific objectives of the study are: * To provide a maintenance module for the following: modules, levels, examination, teacher, student, user and class schedule * To provide efficient system security by creating a security module with username and password maintained in a secured database. * To provide a transaction module for the automatic computation of student grades based on their performance. * To provide a transaction module that will determine the availability of teachers per day/hour to assign them to students. * To provide a transaction module for the online examination of students. * To provide a report module for the list of schedules of teacher and students per module. * To provide an audit trail for tracking and recording the users who have logged in the system.

1.3.3 Scope of the System * Provide ease of access by using the open connectivity method. * The resource materials are open for use of tutors teaching in the company. * Open connectivity method means that the tutors will have access to the system 24/7 through their account. * Deliver learning content rapidly by assembling a fast paced and user friendly interface for the tutors who will use the TRMs. * Provision of self-guided services such as user manual and tool tips for tutors to use in navigating the system. * The system will provide a facilitated content management system (i.e., indexing and reuse) as per definition of technology enhanced teaching materials. * Security module – mainly design for the log-in (i.e. password encryption, accessibility of profiles, lessons and other files). * Unauthorized users restriction, * Security through usage of appropriate password and by access level, * Pdf format for files/modules for certainty of copyright purposes. * Administrator/Operations Manager Module * Can view the following: (administrator) * Class * Modules/Files uploaded * Users * Students & Teachers * Activity log * By Operations Manager * Add, update, delete students or teachers upon notice of the administrator * Add, update, delete and access modules uploaded in the system. * Help & Support * How it Works * Terms and Conditions * Disclaimer * User Guide * Resources * FAQ * Links/Contact us * Student module – view class, modules, activities, and progress report/assessment. Video chat enabled for online tutoring. * Teacher module – view students, class, subjects, resource materials and assessments for teaching. * Can update assessment rubrics * Video chat enabled for online tutoring

1.3.4 System Limitations * The system will be for exclusive use of Evada Phone Inc. ESL tutorsand students only. * The system will not enable printing of resource materials except for student activity sheets for security and copyright purposes. * Contingencies: * Video Chat is still on process, so only live phone chat is available. * For the time being, class scheduling process is under developed.

1.4 Project Rationale
Online E-Learning System for Evada Phone Inc. is designed mainly for the benefit of the tutor and learner.
Specifically, the beneficiaries of the study are: * ESL instructors (the tutors) – the one who will use the tool for teaching ESL students, helping them integrate to alternative teaching methods such as using the technology enhanced resource materials (TRMs). * Students – will greatly benefit in a way that they will be able to learn and participate actively in classes due to easy to access activity sheets and learning materials. * Researchers – specifically, the e-learning researchers since technology enhanced learning/teaching(TEL/T) is one of the major topics of research about e-learning. They will benefit in a way that they can use this study as a reference for further development of TEL/T and e-learning. * Developers – will benefit upon the development of the system wherein they will be able to see if their tacit knowledge about developing a system will brought upon great results.

Learning motivation is then of importance in the design of e-learning practices in workplace. However, empirical study of the alignment of e-learning with individual learning needs and organisational goals is an area with limited research. This study intends to clarify the importance of learning motivation in employees’ e-learning systems use behaviour, based on the information systems success model. Data from one hundred and eighty-five employees who used e-learning systems in their work environment were gathered in Taiwan and analysed with PLS. Results showed that employees’ learning motivation, reflecting their learning needs and strengths, influenced perceived usefulness and satisfaction with e-learning, and their use of the systems, which enhanced their task performance. The results validated the importance of employees’ learning motivation and the need for alignment of employees’ learning needs and organisational goals in e-learning training.
