Introduction
Paytm is the consumer brand of India’s leading mobile internet company
One97
Communications It is India’s largest mobile commerce platform launched in 2010 and
.
headquartered in Noida, India, . Paytm started by offering mobile recharge and utility bill payments. In 2014, the company launched Paytm Wallet, India's largest mobile payment service platform. The service became the preferred mode of payment across leading consumer internet companies such as Uber, Bookmyshow, Makemytrip. Today it offers a full marketplace to consumers on its mobile app. In a short span of time Paytm has scaled to more than 60 Million orders per month. In The company has already created a user base of 100 million wallets & 25 million app downloads. The time to enter the market was perfect. Customers are already comfortable with buying online.
This paradigm shift was already done by Flipkart and Snapdeal. PayTM entered ecommerce sector at a time when all other players had exhausted the USPs. They all were having a nice website. They all were giving CoDs, they all had massive inventories and all of them were giving equal discounts of 510%. PayTM enters the market with not 5, not 10, not 20, not 30 but whopping 50% discount on products. If you apply the coupon codes properly, you can see that the discounts on PayTM were massive. This is clearly visible in clothing, recharges, cycles and bus tickets among many other segments. This was a critical reason behind PayTM success.
PayTM spent less on customer retention but more on giving customer discounts.
PayTM has introduced third form of commercial transaction after B2B and B2C i.e. D2C
Directtoconsumer. To understand how PayTM earn money, first you need to know about this new business model . PayTM is actually a mobile wallet, this wallet is preferred by the customers over online card payment or internet banking.

2

A wallet is prepaid financial instrument ,which allows its customers to store money in a 'virtual wallet'. The money kept in a virtual wallet is actually stored in an escrow account of the wallet service provider with a bank and, on average, generates interest income as good as in the case of
Fixed Deposits. However, the interest income is not passed on the customer nor does it figure as the primary revenue source for the wallet company. Its revenue accrues from the commission paid by the merchants, whose transactions are conducted by people using the wallet. Similar to credit cards, It is a mode of payment and it charges commission which ranges between 12 percent of the transaction values.
The primary revenue source is commissions from Telcos which ranges from 2%(for large &
Established operators) to as high as 5% (for new & small operators). Since the large operators contribute to the bulk of the txn volume, the average commission earned per txn would typically be in the 2.53% range. The average payment gateway charges are typically in the 1.82% range
(will be lower now after the recent 1% cap on debit card MDR by RBI). The net revenue per txn would therefore be around 0.51%. And that's the revenue (not profit) a recharge site makes. To compensate for the low margin they introduced marketplace items where a seller is charged up to
7% per sale. Other than that they earn commission from coupons and more.
So, PayTM like many other awesome companies on planet started with doing one thing and perfected in only that. Online Bill Payments. They ensured that they so

lve the problem of

online bill payments. They were not the first company in India to do so but they perfected their system to the extent that the entire transaction was extremely smooth for the user. They tied up with multiple telecom operators, government bodies for electricity, water and gas. Customers found that PayTM was their goto site for any kind of payments.
Paytm seemingly is trying to plug a big hole in the banksdominated payment solutions market.
On the one hand, it is attempting to make online shopping possible even for humblest of shoppers without credit cards, by offering many other ways to pay, with high levels of security; it

3

also has the potential of making mobile commerce a bigger phenomenon in India, thanks to this convenience factor.
While paytm transactions are fast, and refunds too are swift, as there are no reasons for banktype delays, it's still debatable that airtel wallet or paytm will be paymentsolutions vendors for sellers of high value goods, any soon The absence of a regulatory cover backing up paytm kinds of companies does make it difficult for the latter to hit it bigger, faster. But of course, with increase in mobile commerce, the volume of demand for paytm is on the rise, and so are it's commission earnings.
One97, and it's investors SAP Partners and others will not be complaining yet, because the commission/ fee earnings are growing and there does appear to be futurity to this business.
Tomorrow, we may even expect other forms of money like bitcoins adding to the paytm platform. This payment solution space was indeed a blue ocean, and One97 took the plunge at the right time.

Power of Packaging

...Bobby Lynch Professor LaPointe English Composition I 14 February 2016 New, Again: The Power of Packaging and its Effect on Consumer Expectations The package containing the video game Madden NFL ’16 contains a single striking image on the front and a plethora of words and pictures on the back. The front contains an action shot of wide receiver Odell Beckham Junior making a one-handed grab, set against the backdrop of a full stadium almost drowned out by the bright lights illuminating it. It has the EA Sports logo in almost the dead center, covering part of Beckham’s body, under which the title is printed across the image in shiny silver lettering. The NFL logo appears four times in this one image; twice on patches on the uniform of Odell Beckham, once in the title of the game, and a final time on a holographic sticker stuck to the front of the game. In the top left corner there is a small image advertising a new game mode called Draft Champions. It contains the Draft Champions logo with the words “All-New Fantasy Mode” surrounding it. On the bottom left is the ESRB rating, E for everyone. All of this is within the parameters of the box, which contains green trim and says Xbox One at the top. The back is much busier, with three separate action shots of football players in various positions. The largest image is a cornerback in a celebratory pose, under which it says, “Your Draft. Your Fantasy.” It then goes on to describe the all new Draft Champions mode, highlighting...

Swot Analysis of Ea (Apa Format)

...SWOT Analysis on Electronic Arts Sports [] [Name of Instructor] [Course Title] [Date] Background of the Company Electronic Arts (EA) are an international organization that deals with the development, marketing, publishing and distribution of video games all over the world. US census bureau identified electronic arts as software publishers industry. EA is well-established and independent producers of video games and according to the study by Thompson (2007), EA made global market up to $35 billion. In 2005, it was observed that the US made sales up to $7 billion along with the video games made by EA, and this amount was predicted to grow more in order, to set a record. The prediction was made on the analysis that retailers would be purchasing an Xbox 360, Sony’s new play station and Nintendo Wii in bulk. But, unfortunately, the originality of new consoles tapered off and a decline in sale was observed by 2010. There are various factors that contribute to progress the popularity and demands of video games among masses. Likewise, these video games were made, themed and styled to satisfy needs of all age groups specifically youth. Secondly, graphics play an important part in expanding the fame and demand of video games. EA showed a tremendous growth in the global market by meeting the needs of customers and by marketed the items properly, exactly according to the increasing budgets, sale promotions and advertisement levels. ...these, are visually satisfying reality altering objects that are finding their way into households across the globe more and more each day via internet and cable television. The reason for this I believe is the diversity of the game developers today. They are targeting audiences of all ages, races, genders, and so much more when they produce and create their games. Electronic Arts is an American game publisher and developer that has perfected over 30 years the art by creating a thriving company basing all of its games off the targeted audience, providing immersing gameplay, as well as the means to get the games out and into the world. This will be my criteria for the 3 game advertisements; Battlefield 3, Madden NFL 25, and Create developed by EA that I will be evaluating. Battlefield 3; a first person shooter produced by Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment also known as “DICE” portrays large scale military firefights and battles, electrifying story mode gameplay, all the while being enhanced by the technological leaps in graphic design. All three of these things can meet the criteria of targeted audiences and the immersing gameplay. Just by watching the very brief launch trailer for the game it is clear that the target audience is young adult males, even more respectfully retired and active duty military. As a former active duty service member, I understand that veterans sometimes feel that rush of adrenaline by firing an M240 Bravo machine gun, throwing a grenade, or maybe...

...equipment administrator has many important responsibilities to perform, and as well as having many, there are many that are not well defined. The Equipment administrator is responsible for the accuracy of inventory records, the timely resolution of equipment discrepancies that delayed orders. The EA is also responsible for maintaining the Non-revenue Report, which needed to be updated daily. Every month the EA was also responsible for taking physical inventory of all the equipment and to match this inventory to the Non-revenue Report. It is possible to see that this list of things are all intertwined and are very time consuming. After an audit, they were able to pinpoint that the accuracy of equipment reports was not precise, this something that should be changed. It is not always a good idea to have one person responsible for tasks that are intertwined, because mistakes are often made and never uncovered. The EA could in fact fudge the numbers when it came to physical inventory so that they matched the Non-revenue Report, and therefore he/she would make the company look better because there would be no lost inventory. Furthermore, we can see that having to update the Non-revenue Report daily, but not matching these to physical inventory until the end of the month can impact the timely resolution of equipment discrepancies. After looking at this key issue, there would be different alternatives to fix the problem. My recommendation would be to divide the equipment administrator’s...
