They compare a totally group of fifty-three over weighed women on their attempts to loss or maintain weight. They put them into two groups randomly, where one group drinks one liter of sucrose soda and the other group drinks a liter of aspartame soda every day for a period of five weeks. The sucrose group had a slight increase of energy intake at the first week but then decrease. And at the final week there are not much different between the groups. The result shows that overweight women who drinks sucrose soda voluntarily reduce their energy intake through other source.
