Eating is an activity that we as humans do at least two or three times a day. We eat to live. We live in a world where the variety of food is extremely large, and we are responsible for what we eat. We decide what we are about to eat and how it will affect our bodies. The purpose of this essay is to compare and contrast the differences between eating fresh foods instead of frozen foods. The three main differences are flavor, nutritional benefits, and cost.
The most common difference between these two kinds of foods is their flavor. Fresh foods have great flavor and taste because they keep all their natural conditions. Most especially when it’s brand new picked. Canned foods however, lack a lot of its flavor characteristics because there are some other chemical products added to the natural foods. They are processed shortly after they are picked. It is obvious that the fresh foods will have a greater taste and flavor when consumed just because of the time in which they have been prepared.
Comparing both types of foods we notice another difference. There is a health factor that affects both of them. Frozen foods lose some of the original fresh food nutrients when stored, and also it has to be tinned with many conservatives and chemical factors that prolong the shelf life and the freshness of the food but could also become toxic if consumed too often. Most of them when you buy in the stores, it’s already been in the freezer for so long.
Yet another difference between these two types of foods is the cost. Frozen foods are much more expensive than fresh foods. Since you are also paying the packing, storing and preservations, frozen foods cost more money. Here the benefit of buying frozen foods is that they are easier to find, for example, in a supermarket when looking for the frozen foods you just have to go the freezer sections unlike the fresh food you have to

...Conscious Eating My first thought when I looked at this assignment I thought it was going to be really strange. I really don’t think I have ever eaten in complete silence, so the idea of doing that was just kind of intimidating for some reason. So it was really hard to find a good time to do this. Once I finally decided to sit down and eat my meal, I made sure to turn off the TV, put my phone on silent, and close my laptop; otherwise, just out of habit, I would have ended up playing around on one of them. For my meal, I had a piece of fried chicken, a biscuit, and some mashed potatoes, not the healthiest meal ever, but it was definitely tasty. It was kind of nice to allow myself to really focus on the food itself, taking in the smells, the textures, and the taste. The chicken smelled great, but the texture was really nice. When I bit into it, it made a really loud crunching noise. I also got to savor how juicy it was, which was really nice. The best part about the biscuit was the way it smelled: when I lifted it up to my mouth, I could smell the butter and the flour and it just made me want to take a big bite.
