The World War was an epidemic for the ages and one that is still replayed and examined in the current days so far from its long start over a hundred years ago. The war of the worlds started with very primitive technology but eventually perpetuated into a vast array of technological advancements, most notably the air power of the airplane. The central powers had their top dogs in the vastness of the sky along with the mighty prowess of the allied powers, who ultimately over conquered and win the war. The most contributable warriors to the valiant effort involved the inspirational work of two top aviators Eddie Rickenbackere, an American ace, and the iconic René Fonck, the French’s leading ace. Rene Fonck carried an arsenal of talent and energy into the battle that can be translated into influential efforts on the war. Rene possessed a mindset in the war that “dying for one’s country was less desirable than making one’s opponent die for his.” (Allied Aces of Aces, 45 ). This interpretation of fighting gives him the mindset needed achieve his major success. During the war Rene manage to take down as many as 75 confirmed aerial kills leading to his ultimate title of the all-time Allied Ace of Aces. Contrast, killing was not his only feat. Rene put in major overtime in the realm of reconnaissance for the French military. His work on the G.4 onboard camera proved beneficial in the French’s Strategical ability to manipulate and plan on the execution of artillery on the Germans.
