It can be argued that the technical or clinical skills of each group may not differ greatly, but exposure to knowledge that can only be granted through didactic education is inevitably lacking in the diploma and Associates level nurses. According to the AACN, The NCLEX tests for minimum technical competency for safe entry into basic nursing practice. Because Baccalaureate students attend school longer and/or receive more credits during the process, they have a greater wealth of information to refer to when practicing nursing.
