Udagawa(n.d.) states that “Originally, there are difference between food culture between Kansai and Kanto and meat is preferred to pork in Kansai. Brand meat such as Matsuzaka meat, Kobe meat and Oumi meat represent this culture and consumption rate of meat per family in Kansai is higher than that of Kanto. In other hand, consumption rate of port per family in Kanto is higher than that of Kansai. It is common for Kansai people to use meat and Kanto people to use pork for cooking Nikujaga, the traditional Japanese home cuisine.”(my translation)

Effective College Level Writing

...Strategies for Effective College Level Writing COLL 100 AMU/APUS Strategies for Effective College Level Writing Included are five good strategies for effective college level writing. According to Carter (2008), "College Students are held to a much higher standard than high school students, even those who are enrolled in an AP course." To help the student write at a higher standard, the student needs to plan for the assignment, avoid writers block, talk about their ideas for the assignment, proofread and revise their assignment, and learn from their mistakes. Planning the student's assignment is a good strategy for effective college level. According to McCutchen (2011), "Planning was subsumed under the broader label reflection, which encompasses problem solving (including planning), decision making, and inferencing." (p. 52). Therefore planning is a critical aspect for effective college level writing. To have a good plan, the student needs to understand the assignment. According to Riedinger (n.d.)"Don not assume that every teacher expects the same type of writing or research or that every assignment, even from the same teacher, will be the same." According to Carter (2008), "Understanding the purpose of an assignment is vital, particularly at the college level where professors will assign a broader range of paper styles." The student needs to read the instructions more than once, go back, and read them throughout the assignment. Getting all the...

Process of Effective Writing

...The writing process to complete the assignment for Demonstrating Effective Leadership, requires levels of discipline. It also requires a goal focused approach. Discipline is necessary in delegating time to each section of the assignment to ensure that each area is addressed. In addition, setting short term goals to reach each task or areas of the assignment is beneficial. This will keep me focused on my ideas and help me to thoroughly elaborate on the studies of leadership within my profession. There are a few methods I plan to incorporate into the completion of the assignment for unit 4. Investing too much time in a first draft can be a mistake (Capella 2006). Before reviewing the drafting and revising resource from Capella, I had planned to spend most of my time drafting. This resource gave me clarity on why this would not be beneficial or helpful for the completion of the assignment. Next I plan to incorporate ‘the MEAL plan’ (Main Idea, Evidence or Example, Analysis, Link) (Capella 2006). This will be essential in keeping the assignment focused and consistent with the required standards of a graduate level writing assignment. One of the toughest concepts graduate students have comprehending is that their papers should be supported by evidence as opposed to anecdotes or their opinions (Green 2008). Using ‘the MEAL plan’ (Capella 2006) will keep me within the appropriate writing standards. I can also utilize ‘the MEAL plan’ in my professional setting when I have...

Firstly the rock size and mass was measured to determine the density and bulk volume using an electronic ruler and mass balance. Then using the helium porosimeter the grain volume of each core plug sample was measured. Each of these measurements were repeated three times and then averaged for precision sake. The porosity was then calculated by subtracting the grain volume from the bulk volume, to determine the pore volume, and then dividing by the bulk volume. The porosity results for all the samples were reasonable except for sample 1 and 6 for which the porosity is calculated to be in negative % and make no logic. These possible reasons for these inaccurate results are that the group made high errors in reading the measurements or did the experiment in a wrong method. 2-Introduction For the storage of oil and gas in any reservoir rock presence of porosity is vital. However, the degree of porosity in any rock depends upon...

Strategic Management of Business Policy Formulation and Implementation Between Bangladesh and India

...Strategic Management of Business Policy Formulation and Implementation between Bangladesh and India Course Title: Strategic Management Course Code: MBA 512 Prepared for Prof: Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Ph.D. Visiting Professor of IUB Prepared by Mostafizur Rahman 1221544 Shamsher Ali 113060 Abstract The business relationship between India and Bangladesh is currently of special interest in both countries for a number of reasons. Firstly, there are urgent and longstanding concerns in Bangladesh arising from the perennial, large bilateral trade deficit with India, and from the large volumes of informal imports from India across the land border which avoid Bangladesh import duties. These concerns have been particularly acute on the Bangladesh side in the context of discussions between the two governments of the possibility of a bilateral free trade agreement along the lines of the India-Sri Lanka FTA. Secondly, even though (because of the disparity in the size of the two economies) India’s trading relationship with Bangladesh is much less significant for it than it is for Bangladesh, closer economic integration with Bangladesh is nevertheless seen as a very important way of reducing the economic and political isolation of the seven Indian eastern and north eastern states from the rest of the country. Finally, both countries have long shared common objectives for closer economic integration...

You should have a clear, main theme or an unforgettable, but yet, simple and original story line. Then, you are able to focus on the topic and narrow down the story line to create a piece that is clear, tight, and manageable. It is not an effective essay when one covers too broad of a topic and wanders with many unrelated ideas and thoughts. To develop a tight and focused topic, you should provide enough important evidence to support the theme and shows insight on the topic. The best way to accomplish this is to create vivid pictures in the reader’s mind with credible and accurate details.
