3. How can marketers and retailers such as Tiffany’s and Kohl’s, benefit from research sites such as this, when conducting their store site research?
When doing a research based on zip code, it helps them distribute there marketing wisely. For example, in my area many people make over $60,000 a year and own a home. For example, Tiffany’s is advertising jewelry, high end stuff so the company would see if there is a dominant amount of people who have money and if/or married or engaged. They advertise along of wedding bands as well as engagement rings. Then on the other hand, Kohl’s could advertise to all. Especially now a days when people aren’t making as much and the cost of clothes and other necessities aren’t as expensive. Marketing and retailers need to make sure when they are advertising to certain locations that they need to market to the right segments.
4. What did you learn from completing this assignment?
I learned from doing this assignment is that different regions of the country can survive and be considered upper class based on where they live. For example, in Memphis, TN a person could live well on $40,000 oppose to New Rochelle, NY or New York City where $40,000 a year after taxes and everything you are barely meeting ends.
You will be graded on: • your ability to carefully and fully follow instructions • the quality of your essay assignment. • the overall appearance of your report (spelling, spacing, etc.)
This assignment is due on and will only be accepted on the next class meeting
Thank you and enjoy completing this creative exercise.
