It was it hot humid afternoon at the countryside of Vietnam where there were bomb craters The size of a house, and burning trees from the furious napalm strikes against the Vietcong the Roars of the Helicopter traveling the air ,and the agonizing screams of those men who have been injured.private Dempsey Suarez also know as el pistolero and his unit of like 20-30 men led by general Donovan Depay were sent on a mission to secure a river bank which was used by the vietcong for transportation of guns and ammunition inside a highly dense thorny jungle. These jungles we're extremely booby trapped by the Vietcong so the soldiers had to keep watch out were they steeped.This river bank was a major checkpoint and if the U.S Army got hold of this point it would be very useful of them as they would cut down the transport of the vietcong.…show more content… Dempsey was an unfortunate soul to have been on patrol at the wrong time as he managed to step on a bouncing betty a extremely dangerous landmine that would bounce out of the ground as if it were a frog and explode mid air,damaging or killing anything that stands in its way.
