...HG AFTER GATE GUIDE 2015 ENGISTAN.COM From Team Engistan Desk Dear students, As the GATE 2015 is over, now the next step is to apply for M.Tech courses (through GATE 2014/2015 or NON GATE exam 2015 ) and for PSU’s recruiting through GATE score which is quite complicated. To make M.Tech and PSU application process easy for students engistan.com have launched this After Gate Guide 2015 which contain cutoff analysis of IITs, NITs, IIITs, regional colleges etc, written test and interview preparation tips, complete information about PSUs, Preference Order of Institutes & Disciplines, Career options after gate exam at one place. One thing we want to highlight is scoring high in gate exam does not grantee your admission in IIT or a job in PSU, remember the battle is still on. Keep revising basic concepts regularly for interview and written test (for M.tech and PSU both), both got weight age of 30% or more in complete selection procedure. Preference Order of Institutes & Disciplines we have provided are on the basis of previous year cutoffs (2012, 2013 and 2014), Faculty, Infrastructure and Application, Research Collaborations, Placements, Industry Linkages, Quality of Students. So you are free to choose any college or discipline. We gave you a rough guideline for M.tech Admissions and PSU recruitments. And we advice students to read this guide thoroughly. These few pages will serve as a quick reference guide for top institutes (and PSUs) and their selection process. With Best wishes...

...Renee Montaque 1.2 M2 Why copper is used in electrical cables Mobiles have lots of different metals in them for example, Copper is used for electrical circuits and they are good conductors. Silver is used for switches on a circuit board and phone buttons because it's a really great conductor. Gold is used for the surface of the circuit board and a connector. Tantalum is used in electronic components and it allows scientists to make small mobiles and phones have palladium, aluminium and iron in them too. Copper combines several propeties that have traditionally made it preferred for most electrical wiring. Copper is a good electrical condctor, provides a good contact surfae, is ductile (is easily bent repeatedly without breaking) and it is not too expresnive. Copper wire is also relatively easy to manufaacture, and there is a lng history of using it. However, other materials can and are used for electrical wiring. Furthermore, in the future it is reasonable to ecpect that copper will fall out of favour as new and better means of conducting electricity are better developed perfected. Ref: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why is copper used for electrical wires Why is motor oil important for engine oil We put oil in our engines to serve several purposes. First, obviously, oil acts as a lubricant. If your engine is oprating correctluy, there is almost no metal to metal contact – everything is ridding on a thin film of oil. However, oil has several other...

...Environmental Concerns Technology is an ever-changing entity. As soon as a company goes through the time and expense of upgrading their hardware and technology, new technology emerges in the industry. With all of the new and emerging technology, the concern of what to do with the old technology and how to dispose the old so that the company can install and use the new technology. One of the biggest concerns when recycling old hardware is the effects that the recycling process will have on the environment. With this becoming a bigger concern every year, old computer hardware has become commonly known as electronic waste or e-waste. We are a world driven by the new and the shiny. With new technology always on the cusp of being developed, consumers always have something new to look forward to and purchase. One of the first concerns of computers was the amount of electricity that the machines needed to consume in order to make them work. Many do not think about the amount of carbon that is produced through the electricity that is consumed during the use of the system. Carbon being released into the air can be harmful when considering the composition of the air that we breathe. The next concern is the chemicals that are used in the composition of the computer and its components. Computers contain metals such as arsenic, lead, and mercury that are hazardous to those who are exposed for long periods. If these chemicals are not disposed of properly they can seep into the...

...and most importantly my father. Neither does the Career Plan test. Therefore, the results should be based on my answers, which would be derived from my own personal learning and experiences. Based on this, I would have thought that the Career Plan would have made choices based on my 51 years of life. It did not. I have always enjoyed working with my hands. My father was an electrician. He was also very talented with other trades, such as pipe fitting, plumbing, and just about everything related to manual labor. To say that he taught me a lot is an understatement. I learned how to fill fire extinguishers at the age of 8. I also learned basic electrical wiring and was able to do complex motor control by the time I was 18. By the time I was 21, I was a certified welder in 4 different welding processes. Most recently, I built an electrical contracting business with 15 employees, and over $2 million dollars in yearly sales. My point is that I do very well with “hands-on” work. When my Career Interest Profile stated that I am “Realistic, Enterprising, and Social” I began reading the report with great interest. Imagine my disappointment when I further read that my career matches were a “Barista”, or a “Medical Assembler”. It also suggested that I explore jobs in “Cosmetology, Manicurist, and Make-up Artist”. Therefore, let me state that I will completely ignore my...

...A simple definition of PV system is converting the light coming from the sun to useful electricity. In the case of LAWANG BATO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, their PV system supplies the School library and T.L.E. room, wherein the reality this places is not commonly used by the students. As a student of Electrical Engineering and knowledgeable on this matter, I suggest that instead of supplying those places why not give the free electricity to the rooms used by the majority of the students of LBNHS. As I also recall waste of electricity encounter in weekends, I suggest to use that free electricity in some places like school’s hallways or for school’s lamp posts at night. On the other hand, I have learned a lot regarding this topic when we visited LBNHS. We are all aware about the issue of Electricity price hike. And I see one solution to solve this issue, let’s use renewable energy, it is free and efficient if we use and install it properly. Instead of wasting our time complaining to the government, why not think solutions that may help everyone and solve this crisis. Be educated on this matter. It will start on us, LBNHS is now using PV system, and I hope in the near future our city will develop and help every school in Valenzuela City to provide and encourage them to use renewable energy or PV system. No more complain let us do something to develop our City/Country. Be Eco-friendly. Use renewable energy. BSEE...
