In 1848 , Elizabeth Cady Stantor and Lucretia Mott, who were American activists wrote the “ The Declaration of Sentiments”. The movement was held in Seneca Falls. This document was written because Elizabeth Stantor and Lucretia Mott were denied to speak at the world anti-slavery convention in London. The Declaration of Sentiments were written to fight for women's rights. Women were treated unfair and were not given rights as required by Declaration of Independence. The authors states, “ Such has been the patient sufferance of the women under this government, and such is now the necessity which constrains them to demand the equal station to which they entitled” (1). They wrote fifteen parts of how they are treated unfairly and how women are
