Elliot's Story: A Day At The Rundown House

It was the year 2000. Elliot, who was from a poor, black neighbourhood, was walking on the sidewalk near his home, when he saw a weird-looking house. It was a rundown house. Elliot was curious, so he walked up to the house, opened the door, and went in. He overheard someone talking and was alarmed that they were making plans to burn Elliot's house. It turned out that the house was occupied by a bad gang.
Elliot told his family that a gang was going to burn their house. Elliot's mom asked him, “When are they going to burn our house?” Elliot told her it was going to be burned at 12:00 a.m., on Monday, December eighth, which was only two days away.
The next day, Elliot was walking on the sidewalk again and wanted to see what the gang was doing in the house. When he got there, he was shocked to see several gasoline cans in the backyard. Even though Elliot had told his mom and dad …show more content…
Elliot was really mad when the officer said that and knew that the officer was being racist.
It was now Monday, December eighth. Elliot's family woke up at 11:50 p.m. and went outside to their front yard to see whether anything weird was going on.
After a couple of minutes, a stranger knocked on the back door. Elliot went upstairs to look out his bedroom window. He noticed that the stranger was carrying a container with an odd-looking fluid, Elliot was concerned that it might be gasoline. He told his parents about this but knew the police would not help his family. Elliot really wanted to save the day, so he went to the roof of his house, so he could jump on the guy and stop him without the guy noticing him first.
So Elliot jumped on the guy and did not get hurt, but the gang member got hurt; however, Elliot got some gasoline spilled on him. Elliot called for his dad to help. His dad came and tied the gang member's hands with rope and then called the
