The Emncipation Proclamation, an executive order issued by President Abraham Lincoln on January 1st in the year 1863, was addressing all States and parts of States that were still holding people in slavery. The executive order is to be maintained and fulfilled by the military, naval authorities of the United States, and Congress. Without the aid of the military this proclamation would be ignored, President Lincoln feared. The military and Naval authorities would protect such persons and ensure the fulfillment of this order by personally overseeing their safety and equality. The Emancipation Proclamation would hinder acts of repression and discrimination on such persons unjust. The citizens would also play a vital role in maintaining freedom
