A Separate Peace The book A Separate Peace by John Knowles talks about different different characters and their emotional strife. One character we hear a lot about is Phineas, Gene Forrester’s friend at Devon school. At first it does not seem that Finny has any emotional strife; however, as the story goes on we see that Finny gets more and more problems.
