...Introduction of Energy Crisis in Pakistan:- Energy resources are the backbone of social economic development of any country. It is essential for the production and making of goods and other things like cotton sheets which contributes a lot of revenue in the budget of Pakistan. Therefore the demand of power is rapidly growing in the form of electricity, diesel, petrol and coal. As we know the Pakistan’s energy issues are rising because the production of energy is insufficient to meet the growing energy demands of Pakistan, which causes power crisis or an energy crisis in Pakistan. Overview of Pakistan's electricity:- Pakistan’s electricity generation facilities are not precisely working well, they even thought to be underdeveloped and inadequately maintained. The regions of Pakistan could be going to face the critical energy problems, because of the weakening economy and rising of the rapidly increasing electricity demand in the course of the prior 10 years. ...Pakistan has been awarded the status of GSP Plus recently till 2017. 406 members of the European Parliament voted in favor of Pakistan whereas 186 voted against. It is expected that with this status, Pakistan can increase its exports by $2 billion. The status will allow 20% of Pakistani products to enter EU with zero tariff whereas, 70% will be exported on preferential rates. Recent statistics show that Pakistan’s GDP has increased from 3.6% to 5.1% which maybe an indicator of country’s direction. GSP Plus will help Pakistani textile manufacturers to compete with the regional players like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka which already have duty-free access to EU. Most of the textile products will enjoy this concession in tariff. It is projected that the textile industry will earn profit of 1 trillion rupees per year. The current exports to EU of $9.5 billion are more than half of the total exports (of $13.1 billion) to European Union. According to Chairman APTMA Punjab, Pakistan’s textile exports will rise from $13 billion to $26 billion in next five years. Recently, Germany has increased the textile orders by 30% and it is expected that Pakistan will be able to attract famous German brands like PUMA, ADIDAS, Marc O’Polo, HUGO Boss, and Tom Tailor towards Pakistan as their sourcing destination. Although, it is very clear that this status will surely help Pakistan stabilize her economy but let’s peek through the reality window. Can Pakistan really take benefit from this status...

These 10 DISCOs are responsible for distribution to the end users. KESC meets its overall demand with its own generation plus purchase from NTDC, IPPs and from Karachi Nuclear Power Plant. The Current structure of the power sector is: Thermal power generation stands at 8,300MW but the thermal plants have low conversion efficiencies and are expensive to maintain/operate. Most of the thermal power plants installed by IPPs, use furnace oil which has become very expensive over the recent past. Hydro Power Only 34 % of total electricity generation is achieved thru hydro power. Currently we are producing 6555 MW against the potential of 41000 to 45000 MW Pakistan has a potential of producing wind energy ranging from 10000 MW to 50000 MW, yet power generation through wind is in initial stages in Pakistan and currently only a plant of 06 MW capacity has been installed in first phase in Jhampir by a Turkish company and...

This is the number of unemployed persons divided by the number of people in the labor force. Unemployment in Pakistan: It is a universal problem, even the most advanced & prosperous countries of the world like USA, Britain & Japan are confronted with this problem.
