On 03-13-2016 at 1942 hours I was dispatched to 616 highway 53 (Cash Saver) in reference to an assault.

Upon my arrival I made contact with Vanessa Jackson, who informed me of the following:
- She was sitting in the office and she observed a male subject walking down isle seven toward her.
- She observed the subject place something inside of his jacket.
- The male Subject then walked pass the register and was walking toward the door when she stopped him and asked him what was in his jacket.
- The subject advised her it was a gun and she asked to see it and he said he couldn’t.
- She then asked him to show her what was in is jacket again and he took out a package of ground beef and stated he was hungry.
- She had him to stand over by the ice …show more content…
- The subject then began to wrestle with Lacy and hit her in the chest.
- The subject then ran toward the door pushing the doors open knocking them off track.

I made contact with Lacy Eakes, who informed me of the following:
- She noticed a guy had something in his hoodie and he stated it was a gun.
- He was asked to show it to them and it was hamburger meat.
- He was asked to stand to the side until the police got there and he agreed and told them he was not going to run.
- He then took off and pushed her out of the way and she tried to stop him during which his hoodie came off.
- He then ran out the doors and ran behind Rick’s gas station.

I was able to review the store video surveillance and take some photographs of the surveillance footage but as of the time of this report I have not been able to get a copy of the surveillance footage due to employees not know how to make a copy. See attached images.

I checked the hoodie and in the pocket of the hoodie I located a car key. While speaking with the store employees they received a phone call from Fanci Griffith asking if she could get the keys to the vehicle.
