In this book and play “The Death of a Salesman”, The main character Willy Loman, is having problems getting and holding onto a job. His whole life has always been a failure and still is proceeding as one. As this story proceeds, Willy is having some inside thoughts about life, and how things are going when it is not really happening at all, it is just all in his head.
In the story “The Death of a Salesman”, I do think that the characters are very believable. They all have a personality like no one would think of. They all have very unique characteristics like: stealing, lying, going crazy, and always being miserable. I can relate to all of the characters. There are times when I think that I am in real life, but then snap out of it and come back to reality. Like Willy Loman, I also have tendencies to fail on a daily bases, and to not do my best because of what might have happened earlier in the day. Also, unlike Willy Loman, I do not go crazy, or think up some outrageous thoughts that I always believe to be real. I do fail on a daily basis on things, but as well as Willy, I do not end up failing at jobs or little interviews for small jobs. I do stay sane and get what I need done, unlike Willy Loman, he ends up not realizing things, or he forgets a lot, or he just cannot get down how to do things right. The story “The Death of a Salesman”, is a story that has many feelings and emotion, and I do think that we all could relate this story and play to all of our lives, because there is not one person that does not have drama, or major emotion. We all are Willy Lomans on the inside, we all have things that we have done, and are not proud of it. We all make mistakes from time to time, but only I think that we are more capable to overcome our failures, better than Willy loman. Willy Loman’s life symbolizes more because unlike us, he has that actual experience in the real world and we do not.

The similarities of “Death of a Salesman” and “Mice and Men” are that they both have someone to blame in the end for there actions. The authors of these two books, I do believe have some of the same intentions, but with a different setting. Willy and George are both looking out for that one person that meant something to them. Trying to keep them safe, trying to keep them happy, and always trying to keep them out of trouble. Biff and Lenny are the two characters that I see always needing someone there for them. They are both like eachother in a way of support wise and help wise. The Bunkhouse and Willies house are one in the same. Both houses are not in the greatest of shape and could go for some remodeling.
Altogether, the story of “The Death of a Salesman”, is really just a big game of how to get one step closer, but never really getting there, and how to overcome obstacles that seem to big to get over.

The data were collected from task consisted of three requests, three offers, three suggestions, and three invitations. Each one of the situations included one refusal to a person of higher status, one to a person of equal status, and one to a person of lower status. Data analyzed according to frequency types of refusal strategies and interlocutor's social status. I prefer this article because it is very useful for my topic. The author found that Iraqi EFL learners are apt to express refusals with care and/or caution represented by using more statements of reason/explanation, statements of regret, wish and refusal adjuncts in their refusals than Americans.
