Bulimia nervosa is a very complex physical and psychological condition and has many long-term effects. Bulimia nervosa can ultimately lead to infertility. Infertility is the inability of a person to reproduce naturally. As a teenager or college student, infertility is not a thought in their minds but as they grow older it becomes more apparent that they will not be able to conceive. ...Setting Analysis – A Soldier’s Home by Ernest Hemingway The short story Soldier's Home by Ernest Hemingway is a thought-provoking look into a man life that becomes a soldier, goes off to war and returns an entirely different man. There is much that is identifiable in this story, especially those who have served in the military. This story however leaves much to interpretation but it is written in such a way that the author allows you to really experience his emotions well throughout. My own interpretation; being a person who served in the military is that his experiences coming home are not all that uncommon, especially in the Vietnam era. The horror begins when the narrator listens to a conversation between his father and grandfather, as his grandfather lay on his death bed. “Son, after I’m gone I want you to keep up the good fight. I never told you, but our life is a war and I have been a traitor all my born days, a spy in the enemy’s country ever since I give up my gun back in the Reconstruction. Live with your head in the lion’s mouth. I want you to overcome ‘em with yeses, undermine ‘em with grins, agree ‘em to death and destruction, let ‘em swoller you till they vomit or bust wide open” (256). Those who have read his books understand this omission, it was largely left out and replaced with the director’s backstory. In the original movie the story of Kitty Mannock, a pilot who crashes into the desert during a record attempt in 1931 sets up the book, and later in the book when two of the characters come upon the crash, it makes sense, in the movie however they just find the plane, use the plane and the story is never told, something those who like Clive Cussler’s books enjoy immensely.
