...Top of Form Assignment: PRESENTATION and handout For your oral exam, you will be working as a corporate analyst for your teacher. Your main responsibility will be to develop a feasibility study outlining the parameters for possible future investment in your chosen company. This process is called Due Diligence: essentially, you will play the role of an objective third party. This means that your only loyalty is to an objective account of the current state of affairs. You are to choose a company and have it approved by your teacher. You will then be responsible for analyzing the company and making recommendations either for or against future investment. You will have to defend your analysis. Remember: you are working for your teacher, not for the company: Due Diligence requires objectivity! This assignment is graded and your marks count for 5 points of your final marks. You will receive a group mark, both for content and presentation and for your performance in English. First, you must select the company you are going to analyze (week 24 – groups have to be formed by week 23) and have it approved by your teacher. To be included in your analysis are the following: - SWOT-analysis - Legal Status (pending contracts, current litigation) - Financial Status (accounting, cash reserves, recent/future investments, share price) - IT (systems involved, recent updates, future plans) - Marketing (Strategies, competitors) - Operations (management, supply/distribution networks) - Environmental...

...In this report I am going to explain my own role in helping the team to achieve its goal in relation to the team report and the team presentations. Besides I will mention my contribution to the work and how I facilitated the completion of the team goals. My group number 2 consisted of three students: Cris Brown, Max Kelly and me. As we were going to be working together initially we decided to share some experiences and knowledge in order to know ourselves better. When we receive the first topic to work we decided to divide roles and responsibilities: collection of sources, control of formal aspects and availability of hard copies were three responsibilities that were allocated. Thus, we determined that everyone should be responsible for at least two tasks. The case studies were also subdivided by the three members, each of us would have the same number of topics to analyze and structure. As a result my role was collect information about my topics, select the main ideas and then structure my part to include on our presentation. The topics’ division was realized based on the preferences of each student and according with the best capabilities of each member. This way, during all time the distribution was really easy to make and all person agreed with her tasks. This process was used for all course and we didn’t need to change any point. Related to communication between the group, as mentioned on last report, we used the MSN to allocate tasks between meetings and after our tutorial...

...communiques that we learned about are email, memo, powerpoint presentation and report. First let’s talk about emails and how effective they are within the business. When it comes to how well it conveyed the message well the status of how the due diligence is was not clearly the focal point of the message and the recommendation overshadows the message that is trying to be conveyed. It was the right type communication to be used. Emails are best for when talking between peers because is not a formal message. The ethical implications are the sharing of information over an email can be seen by others if the email is hacked or if your peer decides to show someone that they shouldn’t have. The information could be that shouldn’t be seen by any other person other than your peer. Then we have a formal written memo to the Chief Executive Officer. The message was very forward about not moving on with the investment. A formal memo is the best way to talk to such a high authority within your company. It shows the professionalism within yourself to your higher making it look like you know exactly what you are talking about and believing in what you are saying to them. Next there is the powerpoint presentation. With the powerpoint presentation it is very easy to read and understand with the slides and animations. It flows very well making it easier to get the point across and keeping the reader intrigued. Powerpoint presentations are one of the more basic ways to provide financial information...
