FACTORS THAT UNIVERSITY STUDENTS CONSIDER EATERIES AS THEIR EATING PLACE
PART 1
Statement of the Problem
This research study aims to know the factors why many students of New Era University Students visit eateries at St Joseph Street
It specifically seeks to answer the following questions: 1. . What are factors considered by respondents on preferring St. Joseph eateries as their eating place especially during lunch break ? 2. What are some problems encountered by the students while eating at st. Joseph Street canteens? 3. What are possible recommendationsof respondents to improve the service offered by these canteens?
Hypothesis:
This study assumes some of the factor respondents consider on preferring St. Joseph Street canteens as their eating place are : a) Affordable price b) Friendly crews c) Wide Variety of choices of food
Scope and Limitations
The researcher conducted this research by Direct Observation and Personal Interviews from New Era University students randomly selected . The observation were conducted within St, Joseph Streets canteens vicinity and some Interviews were done within the University campus and Dormitories.

What was amazing about this these eateries are why they are too small to accommodate their customers. But des[ite of its size it could still provide almost everythingthe customers need to fill their empty stomach at affordable prices ... and they were greeted with wide choice of menu of meat and vegeteables especially during lunch time. (Alegria, 2013)

Another factor that company use to stay in their business, in the reasearchj paper by Monteiro,( 2000) he conceded that the most competent ability of successful business is to attract and retains its customers by means of product , price, place and promotion.

Methods Of Research
The methods of this research is mainly through the useof methods with descriptive pattern.
Sampling Techniques
The researchers conducted the personal intervies and direct observation to students of New Era University . The Sampling Method used were Simple Random Sampling. The researchers also used direct observation method to students visiting these eateries within St. JOSEPH Street .
QUESTIONS ASKED: 1. How often do you visit and eat at St. Joseph Street eateries? 2. Why do you prefer eating at St. Joseph Street eateries? 3. Have you encountered any problem at St. Joseph Street canteens? 4. What do you suggests to the managements of this eateries ?\

Conclusions 1. Majority of Respondents are satisfied to affordable price OFFERED AT St. Joseph eateries. 2. Majority of Studentseat at St. Joseph earteries every lunch time 3. Majority of students problems and concerns about the eateries are hygiene concerns and inconvenient sorroundings
Recommendations 1. To Eateries- a) They should maintain the affordable price that most students patronized b) Thet should improve and expand their facilities for more convenient eating and should not take for granted the hygiene comcerns instead maintain cleanliness of their area at all times. 2. To Students- a) Thay should be observable on the eateries they visit. They should not only base their decisions on where to eat on th prices of food but also to the extent of how well and clean the foods they offer are prepared.
