The tropical rainy climate has two different climate areas, tropical wet and tropical wet-and-dry. Australia, India, Brazil, Colombia, and Venezuela are all countries and continents with tropical wet-and-dry climate areas. Tropical wet-and-dry climate areas are also known as savannas (grasslands). Savannas and/or tropical wet-and-dry climate areas are found near the equator, on outer edge of tropical wet climate areas. The largest tropical wet-and-dry climate areas are found in Africa, Brazil, and India. Tropical wet-and-dry climate areas only have two seasons a year. During the summer savannas have a wet season and during the winter savannas a dry season. The average temperature during wet seasons is seventy-seven fahrenheit. The most common plants found on savannahs are grasses, shrubs, and a little amount of trees. The small population of trees is caused by the little rainfall savannas get. The plant that grow on savannas have adapted to long dry seasons. The savannas support many species of herbivores like wildebeests, gazelles, zebras, elephants, etc. Carnivore species that live in savannas are lions, cheetahs, hyenas, etc. The climate that savannas have, makes plants and animals that live their adapt. During the dry season life is very hard for plant and animals. Plant shrivel up and die because the lack of moisture. Rivers and streams dry up during the dry season. The animals that live in the savannas migrate because of the lack of food. On the other hand during the wet season animal and plant life prospers. During the wet season plants are lush and bountiful. The rivers and streams refill and flow freely. Finally, animals migrate back and graze on the newly grown
