I am Detective Stotts, and I’d been called to the scene of the shooting at Ernie’s Diner. I always hate seeing dead bodies, but you have to do what you got to do. I’d only been supplied only a bit of information. The victim, Frank, was a mobster and was in his mid-forties. The crime happened at Ernie’s Diner at 3:27 PM on Fourth Street, Independence, Missouri, on October 25th. Ernie, the owner, and only employee also gave me some info; The shooter had leaned on his hand on the wall as he took the point-blank shot that killed Frank. I’m heading to the diner now.
