Lipstick
Olivia and I are doing a short film called “Lipstick” the aim of the film is to challenge the stereotype of men always being the dominant person and women always being the victim. The genre of the film is going to be a thriller.
The time of which the film will be set in early evening in a forest. The setting scene is going to be a flash-forward of the female lead ‘Lydia’ running in the forest. This is to trick the audience into thinking that the female will later be a victim. The second scene goes to the present time of both the male ‘Dylan’ and female lead ‘Lydia’ in the forest (they are a couple) doing lines together (it will not actually show them doing it) Lydia mentions her fathers infidelity and asks whether or not Dylan will be faithful. The next scene is the couple walking in the forest and Lydia says that she has to show him something and runs off into the forest. Dylan will be following her but fails to keep up and he ends up lost while looking for Lydia he will trip over his laces which will lead him to falling face to face with a dead body (no name) with a very distinctive lipstick stain on his check which matched Lydia’s. Lydia comes out from behind a tree saying that the dead body was here ex boyfriend and claimed that he cheated; she then accuses Dylan of infidelity. Lydia then picks up a broken tree branch while Dylan runs off with her following. The next scene is the same scene as the first (the flash-forward). The last scene is Lydia finding Dylan and hitting him several times with the tree branch even though it is clear to see that he is dead. The film ends with her phone ringing (not showing the caller ID), she answers with short answers to the person on the time and ends it with ‘bye mum’.
The last line will be ‘bye mum’ showing that even though she has just killed someone everything is normal as she is going back to her
