This song is about our own country and how corrupt everyone in power has become, how people have become blind as trees led by the media. What Lupe is talking about is real as ever it gets. I feel a very strong connection with this song because there are all these questions that no one in the government can answer, this is a big issue which is being dumped on the next generation to solve all of the problems by themselves. He is trying to inform his audience of political and historical issues that are underlying themes in society in relation to power. Through his efforts to inform and persuade to take action against those in political power, Fiasco also informs the audience of his own personal beliefs and opinions, a key component of his criticism.
