In today’s society there have been a huge number of Supreme Court cases that have touched the issue of what rights the inmates should have while they are incarcerated. One of the most important cases was Estelle v. Gamble (1976). This case was decided by the Supreme Court in 1976. One of the major issues within this case was the issue of prisoners’ right to health care. Now in this case, the Supreme Court ruled that all inmates will have the right to have adequate health care for health concerns that may arise.
