It was the first day of school, Ethan Weiman moved from Las Angeles, California to a small town called Arrowholde in New Jersey. He moved to live with his grandparents, Mildred and Robert. His parents, Lisa and Cody, were firefighters in California. They had died about a month ago during a big wildfire, back in Las Angeles.
He woke up, went into the bathroom and looked into the mirror. He couldn’t see himself clearly without his glasses. He grabbed his glasses off of the counter and put them on. He could see himself again. He could see his chocolate brown hair, emerald green eyes, and his pearly white teeth.
On the ride to school, he couldn’t stop fascinating about the scenery. He saw big tall trees that blocked out some sunlight; He saw…show more content… “It was nice meeting you too, Diana” He said.
The bell rang and they both went to their next class.
After school, He waited at the pickup area and waited for his grandparents to pick him up. Once he had gotten home he was so tired from school, he crashed out on the couch in the living room.
Four weeks later and it’s the day of the field trip. Ethan had gotten up extra early to get ready and have all of his stuff ready. He hopped out of bed, went into the bathroom and put on his glasses. He put on a warm sweater that his grandpa had gotten him for cold weather, and his Timberland Boots. He grabbed his backpack, and headed to school.
When he got to school in the distance he could see two big yellow school buses with people waiting in the front, by the door. He walked towards the crowd and started to look for Dmitri. After pushing through the crowd of people for a few minutes, he finally found Dmitri all the way on the other side of the bus. All the kids then loaded up on the bus.
“Please, two people per seat” Mr. Gray said
Dmitri and Ethan found a seat all the way in the back and sat down.
“Do you like plants and insects” Ethan asked
“Of course” Dmitri…show more content… “Sure” Dmitri replied.
Ethan gave him one ear bud and they listened to music all the way to the Laboratory. The bus driver finally had turned to the next street, and turned in the parking lot of the laboratory. He could see the building, it was massive. It looked about 10 stories high, and it was made out of glass and bricks. On the right side of the building he could see a big sign that said The Testing Bureau of Phytology and Insects.
“Ok, were here.” The bus driver said in a tiring voice
“Ok class; please be polite to your other classmates and the scientists in this lab,” Mr. Gray said. “Please do not touch anything, and make sure your always following myself or our tour guide.”
The bus driver opened the bus doors and people filed out the door, seat by seat. They could see big packages coming in and out of the building.
“Wow! This building is bigger than I thought.” Ethan spoke.
Dmitri replied “I know, I researched last night and looked at images, and I was in shock too.
The whole class met the tour guide at the front of the building. The tour guide said “Hello, and welcome to our lab, The Testing Bureau of Phytology and Insects,” “My name is
