The objectives for this week’s assignment were to act as a manager of a team or department. As the manager the task allowed for the utilization of people management skills by focusing on problem resolution during conflict. From the assignment each members of Team “C” provided a different perspective on how they would deal with conflict. Each manager offered their approach with slightly different resolution techniques. However, they all remained focus on the overall objective for the success of the project.
Mark for example states: “The team should first discuss the strengths that each member brings to the group. Common ground or and agree upon starting point is essential to any negotiation. If the group has worked well in the past, reflecting on their previous projects should reinforce this idea. Drafting a charter of agreeable guidelines will also assist in keeping the project on task. Setting clear expectations for all team members allow each individual to focus on their assigned task in order to meet the deadline.”

Rachel offered four steps to problem resolution and provided the following:
The team has been great in working together in producing excellent ads in previous projects, and I think that the team simply lost focus and need to be reminded of a few things.
1. The first thing that should be discussed is the responsibilities of each of the team members and how they all tie in together. Each team member has a specific job that they are talented in, and they should utilize those key points to create ideas.
2. The project revolves around each team member contributing and coming together. The group has to show that can work in cohesion and respect each other's ideas. Each member has to be able to remember that they are a team, and everyone's contribution is important in order to reach the overall ad for the company. The project will not

When companies develop strategic plans, they must consider what role ethics will play and how social responsibility will affect the plan keeping stakeholders need at the forefront.
