The web server sends a query to the index servers
2 The query travels to the doc servers
Steps of search engine. 1. The web server sends a query to the index servers. The contents of the index servers is similar to the index in the back of a book – it tells you which pages contain the words that match the query. 2. The query travels to the doc servers, which actually retrieves the stored documents. Snippets are generated to describe each search result. 3. The search results are returned to the user in a fraction of a second. --• • • • Nowadays Google is currently the most popular search engine It is more popular than yahoo ,MSN etc. Why ? Because Google are spend less time searching for information and it carries out the search quickly and correctly.

Begin
This picture shows the first server office their in of dormitory at Stanford. Sergey Brin had a background in mathematics. He was a genius. He worked in part of the mathematics on these projects for his doctoral thesis.
-If you look at this picture what you can see. -Page was thinking when you look at a Web page, you had no idea what pages were linking back to it. -Because on the internet there are many web sites which are increasing. Now there are over four million. -He thought it would be very useful to know who was linked to whom and he called this the “BackRub project” -It means If you look only forward you newer know who is your BackRub. -Citations are very important when you have that there is even a branch of science devoted to their study. -To continue, Page began building out his crawler. -Crawler is a program for a surfer and keeps information on the webpages. •When he had every web page information on the Internet page, Brin’s breakthrough was to create an algorithm called “Page Rank” •Page Rank is a numeric value that represents how important a page is on the web. •Page Rank is Google is way of deciding a page’s important
