BANG! I here bullets racing past my ear. My best friend just died next to me and I was told to keep moving. I wish I could have helped him but I was told by my commanding officer to keep moving and keep fighting. This might have been how alfred Aldrich felt while fighting in Gettysburg. Alfred was a good soldier because he survived the Bloodiest war in history 23,000 people died in that battle and he walked out of it alive. Alfred Aldrich was born in Thetford vermont in 1842. Alfred Lived in a big household he lived with his Father Rufus he worked as a Laborer, He also lived with his mother Catharine.
