American daredevil Evel Knievel was known for his outrageous jumps and tricks. He was a legend to all in the late sixties and early seventies, mesmerizing people of all ages. This paper will touch on Evel Knievel's biographical sketch, why I thought he was a great American, and how we can improve this class. Robert Knievel better known as “Evel Knievel” was born in Butte, Montana, on October 17, 1938. In the early 1950’s in high school Evel played in the hockey Olympics against the Czechoslovakian National Team. In 1956 Robert Knievel went to jail for reckless driving. When a policeman was taking roll he notice William Knofel was in a jail cell next to …show more content…
It was quite small only about 3 trail and one rope tow. One of the run held two jumps a senior jump and a junior jump. My grandfather and all of his friends would duck down and go down the junior jump which was smaller. But not Evel, Evel Knievel went on the senior jump like there was no tomorrow. This was a very noble act of him because he stepped out of his comfort zone and did more and more daring things. He let go of the crashes and burns and moves on to the next challenge.
Robert Knievel has the record for most broken bones in a lifetime. He broke 37 bones in his body. It is extraordinarily still the highest record to this day. My grandpa knew him in his younger days and he said “He was very athletic and any sport he played he would take it to the extreme.” Whether it was Motorcycling, hockey, or skiing he always excelled in sports.
He noticed that jumping small homemade jumps would not cut it for long because he needed the money to support his family so he started to become more of a risk taker with bigger and bigger jumps. He did this for his family, he knew he needed to bring in money to his family so he

Smoozing

...Customized for: Isaac (illin@mednet.ucla.edu) THE INTRODUCTION Vault Guide to Schmoozing Customized for: Isaac (illin@mednet.ucla.edu) 2 © 2009 Vault.com, Inc. Introduction What does schmoozing sound like to you? Maybe it sounds smug, unctuous, oily, slimy. It sounds, quite frankly, like 'oozing.' Schmoozing is far from slimy, but 'oozing' actually isn’t a bad description of what a schmoozer does. A schmoozer slides into opportunities where none are apparent, developing friendships from the slightest of acquaintances. Through formless, oozy, schmoozy action, a schmoozer moves slowly but inexorably towards his or her goals. What is schmoozing? Schmoozing is noticing people, connecting with them, keeping in touch with them — and benefiting from relationships with them. Schmoozing is about connecting with people in a mutually productive and pleasurable way — a skill that has taken on new importance in our fragmented, harried, fiber-optic-laced world. Schmoozing is the development of a support system, a web of people you know who you can call, and who can call you, for your mutual benefit and enjoyment. Schmoozing is the art of semi-purposeful conversation: half chatter, half exploration. Schmoozing is neither project nor process. It's a way of life. How does schmoozing differ from networking? Conventional networking is the clammy science of collecting business cards ad infinitum, of cold-calling near strangers to grill them about possible openings in their places...

New Moon

...New Moon By Stephenie Meyer Summary When the Cullens, including her beloved Edward, leave Forks rather than risk revealing that they are vampires, it is almost too much for eighteen-year-old Bella to bear, but she finds solace in her friend Jacob until he is drawn into a cult and changes in terrible ways For my dad, Stephen Morgan— No one has ever been given more loving and unconditional support than I have been given by you. I love you, too. These violent delights have violent ends And in their triumph die, like fire and powder, Which, as they kiss, consume. Romeo and Juliet, Act II, Scene VI PREFACE I FELT LIKE I WAS TRAPPED IN ONE OF THOSE TERRIFYING nightmares, the one where you have to run, run till your lungs burst, but you can't make your body move fast enough. My legs seemed to move slower and slower as I fought my way through the callous crowd, but the hands on the huge clock tower didn't slow. With relentless, uncaring force, they turned inexorably toward the end—the end of everything. But this was no dream, and, unlike the nightmare, I wasn't running for my life; I was racing to save something infinitely more precious. My own life meant little to me today. Alice had said there was a good chance we would both die here. Perhaps the outcome would be different if she weren't trapped by the brilliant sunlight; only I was free to run across this bright, crowded square. And I couldn't run fast enough. So it didn't matter to me that we were surrounded...
