INFORME EJECUTIVO

Executive Summary Report

...Executive Summary Report Active Directory stores information about network components. It allows clients to find objects within its namespace. The term namespace (also known as console tree) refers to the area in which a network component can be located. For example, the table of contents of this book forms a namespace in which chapters can be resolved to page numbers. DNS is a namespace that resolves host names to IP addresses. Telephone books provide a namespace for resolving names to telephone numbers. Active Directory provides a namespace for resolving the names of network objects to the objects themselves. Active Directory can resolve a wide range of objects, including users, systems, and services on a network. Each object in an Active Directory has a name. These are not the names that you are accustomed to, like "Tony" or "Eric." They are LDAP distinguished names. LDAP distinguished names are complicated, but they allow any object within a directory to be identified uniquely regardless of its type. The local users on the client’s computer will not be affected during domain join. They can still logon on the local machine. Meanwhile, on domain controllers, during the Active Directory Installation, local accounts in the registry-based SAM database are migrated to Active Directory; the existing SAM is deleted; and a new, smaller registry-based SAM is created that is used for starting the domain controller in Directory Services Restore Mode for system repair. Riordan Manufacturing Executive Report

... This is the situation at Riordan Manufacturing where the price it paid to do business was less than what it made, defining a clear value in what Riordan provides. Riordan’s Sales and Marketing department has a clear value; $50 million is sales to show of it. But how do we show the value for other departments within the organization such as Information Systems (IS) and Information Technology (IT) solutions? While the IS and IT costs and what Riordan pays for it are clear from looking at the financials, the value is not. This brings us to the question of what value does Riordan Manufacturing get out of its IS services and IT department. This question is the problem that Riordan Manufacturing has had for many years. Recently, Riordan executive management hired a new Chief Information Officer (CIO) to improve its infrastructure and to answer this question. While management wants to use more IS and IT solutions throughout the organization, it has had trouble finding the perfect fit in all aspects of its operations. Even though IS and IT costs have risen, the puzzle pieces still have not come together; the value and benefit has not been clear to the company. As we will see throughout this review, it is time to focus and find the value that technology and information brings to the organization. It is time to find the efficiencies and savings that the company needs to clearly see the value. With Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), or Supply...

...A report is long document or a document that contains numerical data. But some organizations one or two page memos also called report. In others, PowerPoint slides printed out on paper can be viewed as reports. According to Locker, we must use the following steps in writing reports. 1. We must use time efficiently: Plan in advance how much time it is available to research and complete the report. It is helpful to draw up a timeline and set planning goals. 2. We must analyze the data and information: When analyzing our topic, we must ask ourselves series of questions, such as who is the intended audience for the report, and what do they want to know? What is the purpose of the report? For example, information reports collect data for the reader, analytical reports interpret data but do not recommend any action, and recommendation reports recommend action or a solution. (Locker, 2006). The following reports are good example of information, analytical, or recommendations reports depending on what they provide: Trip Report can share what the author learned at a conference or during a visit. Progress Report an academic report on how and why something has changed over time. Recommendation Report a report on how practical a proposal is. Credit Report s can simply summarize applicant’s income. Accident report is a report describing how someone was hurt or something was damaged 3.
