Background
Greater Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, the financial capital of India is the heart of commercial and trade activities of the country. The Island City of Mumbai is experiencing rapid growth in economic activity and suburbs are growing faster than the Island City in terms of population distribution and activity location. The city with its present population of over 12 million generates about 14 million trips in a day, with about 88 percent of the total trips catered by the suburban railway and the public transport bus service provided by BEST. The ever growing vehicular and passenger demands coupled with constraints on capacity augmentation of the existing network have resulted in chaotic conditions during peak hours of the day.

Greater Mumbai has always had the distinction and advantage of a high modal share (88%) in favour of a public mass transport system. The role of existing Suburban Rail Services is extremely important in the life of people of Greater Mumbai. The system carries about 6 million passengers every day. The existing suburban rail network serves the South – North traffic very efficiently. For East-West traffic, however, there is an urgent need for efficient, fast and environment friendly public transit system. To augment the capacity of the rail and road transport systems, several improvement works are now under implementation under the World Bank aided MUTP II. The emphasis is mainly on the railway corridor and improving east – west road connectivity. To supplement these efforts, GOM through MMRDA has embarked upon the ambitious MUIP with emphasis on road improvements & flyovers etc and works are under implementation. In the above context, the Government of Maharashtra has also been exploring the viability and suitability of various efficient, economical and environmental friendly mass transit systems such as Light Rail Transit (LRT), Rapid Rail Transit (RRT), electric trolley buses, etc. for the city travel needs. MMRDA was a nodal agency for detailed

The study was carried out under the Indo-German Technical Co-operation by entrusting the consultancy work to TEWET in association with DE-Consult & TCS, during 1997-2000. The study recommended a mass transit corridor from Andheri to Ghatkopar as potentially bankable and economically viable, after examining a number of alternative corridors and alignments In the year 2003, MMRDA appointed M/s CES to review the recommended MRTS alignment by SMART Report and update the same. DMRC were appointed in 2003 to prepare the master plan for Mumbai metro , Andheri –Ghatkopar section has been extended to Versova as a part of the master plan

Ridership Forecast
To appreciate the study area travel and traffic characteristics, extensive data related to Greater Mumbai has been collected from a number of sources viz. MMRDA, MCGM, Regional Transport Office, Census of India, Indian Railways, etc. and compiled. The data and information generated have been used in developing transport demand model to forecast future travel demand by using TRIPS software. In the present study, the MRT ridership has been assessed considering the impact of road improvements proposed under Mumbai Urban Infrastructure Project (MUIP) and proposed changes in the alignment & MRT Station locations and envisaged headway. The ridership figures are given in the table 2.0 below Table 2.0 Total Passenger Boardings on Versova -Andheri – Ghatkopar MRT Corridor Year 2008 2011 2021 2031 Hourly Ridership 38004 41067 53176 70603 Daily Ridership 475046 513338 664703 882533 PHPD 17356 18580 23321 30491

...An executive summary, sometimes known as a management summary, is a short document or section of a document, produced for purposes, that summarizes a longer report or proposal or a group of r business elated reports in such a way that readers can rapidly become acquainted with a large body of material without having to read it all. It usually contains a brief statement of the problem or proposal covered in the major document(s), background information, concise analysis and main conclusions. It is intended as an aid to decision-making by managers[1][2] and has been described as possibly the most important part of a business plan.[3] They must be short and to the point. An executive summary differs from an abstract in that an abstract will usually be shorter and is intended to provide a neutral overview or orientation rather than being a condensed version of the full document. Abstracts are extensively used in academic research where the concept of the executive summary would be meaningless. "An abstract is a brief summarizing statement... read by parties who are trying to decide whether or not to read the main document", while "an executive summary, unlike an abstract, is a document in miniature that may be read in place of the longer document".[4] An executive summary differs from an abstract in that an abstract will usually be shorter and is intended to provide a neutral overview or orientation rather than being a condensed version of the full document. ...Executive Summary The purpose of an executive summary is to summarize a report. Executive summaries are written for executives who most likely do not have time to read the complete document. Therefore, the executive summary must cover the major points and be detailed enough to mirror the content yet concise enough for an executive to understand the substance without reading the entire report. An executive summary differs from an abstract. Readers use an abstract to decide whether to read the complete document. They read an executive summary to obtain information without having to read the report in full. The executive summary should be written as a document that can stand on its own and is usually written on one or two pages, depending on the length of the report. It restates the purpose of the report and describes any results, conclusions, or recommendations made in the report so that the reader understands the reasons for the conclusion or recommendations. Acronyms, symbols, and abbreviations must be written out. Tables and figures in the report should not be referred to by number in the executive summary. The audience for an executive summary is receptive to the message, so the writer should assume that the audience wants to know and understand the message. It is written in a formal tone using an impersonal style and eliminating first person pronouns (I, we, our, etc.). Use the following guidelines when writing an executive summary: • • • • • State clearly the purpose of the...

...------------------------------------------------- EXECUTIVE SUMMARY TO: MS. LINDA AUTORE NAME: MR. MICHAEL WU SUBJECT: PROPOSAL TO IMPLEMENT CRM SYSTEM AND CONTINUAL INVESTMENT TO ERP ------------------------------------------------- DATE: 2/18/14 ------------------------------------------------- INTRODUCTION Moore Medical primarily serves practitioners including physicians, podiatrists, emergency medical technicians, government facilities and the like by providing medical supplies. Moore’s mission is to be first choice in a one-stop shop that meets customer needs by offering a wide product range and fulfilling orders quickly, accurately, and reliably. The problem at Moore Medical is determining whether the company should invest in a CRM system, adding bolt-on modules to the current ERP system, both, or neither. This executive summary details the current issue as well as proposing a solution to the problem. BACKGROUND OF THE PROBLEM Currently, Moore has an ERP system that cannot accurately forecast demand due to it reacting to market conditions rather than predicting what demand will be. Additionally the ERP system is not efficient at creating a bid/quote for customers along with the related customer information. This caused customer service levels to decrease due to customer service representatives taking longer to handle orders. Moreover, new accounts could not be reviewed against old accounts, which led to the problem of duplicating customer information...

In real-world terms, condos often take the form of an apartment or similar shared complex, but theoretically, a condo could physically look like anything.1 The difference between a condominium and an apartment is purely legal. What defines a condominium is the ownership. Technically, a condominium is a collection of individual home units along with the land upon the land which they sit.2 Condominium units are generally popular in areas with high property values, and vacation hotspots and urban settings are both locations where you can expect to find them on the market. This is mainly because buying a singlefamily home can be quite expensive in cities where additional building space may be scarce especially in Metro Manila. As such, condos can open home ownership to whole new groups of people. The industry has benefited from the increase in government spending on infrastructure, dynamic local tourism, strong BPO growth, and influx of OFW remittances. The Philippine economy remains to be largely driven by consumer consumption which has accelerated growth both for store-based and non-store channels. Chained players expand in provincial areas During the year, chained retailers continue to realise the increasing potential of fast growing cities outside of Metro Manila. With BPO moving beyond the National Capital Region and tourism flourishing in the southern provinces of Visayas and Mindanao, the establishment of more shopping centres in provincial cities in turn encourages the expansion of chained players in these areas. Aiming to tap emerging lucrative markets, companies like Philippine Seven Corp, SM Retail Inc and Robinsons Retail Group, among others, are keen on establishing a presence outside Metro Manila. Grocery retailers surpasses non-grocery retailers sales growth With players like Puregold Price Club and SM Retail Inc focused on growing their networks of stores, grocery retailers surpass growth of non-grocery channels in 2012.
