One day a little girl came home from school to a list of chores to do from her parents, this showed that she had expectations from her parents. Many people have expectations for another person. Sometimes the expectations may come from your own goals or what you want for yourself. In the book The Outsiders by S.E Hinton the Greasers and Socs have expectations from many people including themselves. The Greasers and Socs expect to be better than the others. The Socs already think they are more improved than the Greasers because they think that can jump the Greasers whenever they want. The Socs are rich so that makes them think that they are based on what they have and how much better their things are. The Socs jump the Greasers to make them scared of them, just like what happened to Johnny. The Greasers want to be tougher than the Socs because in the book, before the rumble, they talked about how much each one of them wanted to beat the Socs. The Greasers don’t think they have a big future because they don’t have as much as the Socs. Many of the Greasers dropped out of school so they probably can’t get a well paying job. As for the Socs, they want big things for themselves. They have good grades, they have lots of money, and they have everything they could dream of. This makes them see big futures for themselves and something incredible happening to them.

Different people have different expectations from their families or peers. Most expectations come from your families, friends, and some from yourself. The Greasers has many expectations unlike the Socs. The Socs and Greasers have many different expectations from other people.
